This 100%. I don't post a lot here anymore, but this post and the original post by Gaskal are spot on. Not only that, but the Caps ONLY seem to run those plays, and once our defense caught on... they shut it down with ease.
I was fortunate enough to attend the game live, and I too was watching that and it seems the theme of the Caps and now makes complete sense why they cant get out of rd 2 of the playoffs, they're very predictable even though highly skilled.
Mike Smith made some big stops, Giordano and Hamilton are special players. Jagr at age 90 will be better than 90% of the NHL, what a special player. Johnny and Monahan are quite possibly quietly becoming the best tandem in the entire NHL. Remember a few years ago when everyone wanted to trade Backlund? Yeah, about that...
Great game, this is a fun, fast, exciting team. Love the attitudes, just care free and having fun. This is a special lockeroom, don't be surprised if this team goes deep.

Flames have played well against good teams this season too. They are currently 11th overall and here's how they done against the top 10:
2. St. Louis (5-2 L / 7-4 W) 1-1-0
4. Winnipeg (6-3 W) 1-0-0
6. Los Angeles (4-3 OTW) 1-0-0
8. New Jersey (5-4 SOW) 1-0-0
9. Pittburgh (2-1 OTW) 1-0-0
10. Nashville (3-2 SOW) 1-0-0
Overall 6-1-0 against the top teams 1/4 through the season.
My favorite part of the team this season is that there are three solid lines that I enjoy watching play. There is enough skill to go around the forward group that the majority of the game we get to watch talented players do more than just dump it in and battle for scramble plays. The Bennett-Jankowski-Jagr line is one of the better lines to watch cycle that I have seen this year on any team.
Also, Mike Smith makes clutch saves and for that he is awesome.

Flames 4 Caps 1
- Gaudreau and Monahan keep rolling

Does anyone know what's happened to Roger Millions? Has he finally decided to work full time for the UCP?

Great game, all four lines working hard, creating chances.
I think the third line are due for another multipoint game, hit a few posts in Philly, creating some good chances and cycled the hell out of the caps tonight. Jagr is still a beast. Any excuse to post an odin, Thor and Loki pic.
