Like I said in GT, very very nervous about the defense. Only seen one game so far, but I really do hope this doesn't reflect the other games. Looking at stats and reading here it seems like it wasn't the first time.

Gap control is poor. Neutral zone coverage poor. Two clear passing lanes for attackers every time, no coverage in the slot.

Really really bad team defense, pee wee style even. Won't go far like this.

Then again, Mike Smith.

Calgary vs LA feels like more of a rivalry than calgary vs Edmonton recently.

Awesome! Yeah, Jagr got tired - but he can still control the offensive zone like few can. Versteeg-Bennett-Jagr is going to win us some games this year. It’s going to be a hell of a line.

So much to love about this team right now! I’d love to see one more roster change (nitpicking):

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lazar
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Versteeg - Bennett - Jagr
Ferland - Stajan - Brouwer

Gaudreau has as many points as McDraisaitl combined.

Flames have to be in their heads at this point. As soon as it went to OT I knew Calgary would win, we just own them in OT.

Kings commentators saying they think the Flames are going to be a dangerous team all season! Brodie should have been a forward then him and Johnny could continue to skate circles around everyone.

Well, all things considered. He tripped over his feet a few times, and was a little slow. Still he made some smart plays and for flashes showed that he can work the puck along the boards and down low. I think that he will be a nice fit on any line with a speedy centre to backcheck.

I loved Sam pulling Drew Shore out of the pile by his head then driving him into the ice

To only call one penalty out of all that is ridiculous.
If you watch, Quick grabs his leg first, then Tkachuk rips off his mask. Bennett was tired of the Kings crap there too.

It’s game 4. Yes they need work but peewee style is a little much. Offensively they are driving play - especially Brodie in large part because of Hamonic - and their breakouts with Mike Smith are a thing of beauty. We are 3-1 with somewhat shaky D by game 15 we should be steady.

LOL. So much hate for Tkachuk on Kings forum.
