Absolutely on Bennett, but he only played RW for about six shifts, in the last game of the pre-season. That may have partially been Gulutzan's way of telling Treliving that he needs help at middle-six RW. Though it makes perfect sense - Jankowski has to have played his way onto the team, which in turn makes it easier to push Bennett back to RW and both fill a gap and allow the opportunity for Bennett to play without being anchored by Brouwer.

Versteeg is playing with Bennett. Bennett will benefit greatly from playing with veterans like Jagr and Versteeg.

4th line should be Stajan-Jankowski-Brouwer. Jankowski playing with Stajan would be good to help him learn the NHL game.

This is definitely an interesting development. Assuming the guy can still play (last 2 years give indication that this is likely a good bet) it really opens up options for the forward lines, given that he could play on any of the top3 lines in my opinion.

Frolik - Backlund - Jagr (frees up tkatchuk to play with the top line or with bennett)
or
Versteeg - Bennett - Jagr (the obvious place to put him to start)

I think Lazar/Stajan/Glass will end up being the 4th line winger/13th forward but I think some kind of deal still needs to be made to make room. I'm guessing that will happen today too.

Whoever ends up playing with Jagr, they are getting a helluva mentor in both thinking the offensive game and work ethic.

I saw him transform Barkov overnight into a player who can lead a team to a championship. Huberdeau too.

I gotta say, even with all of the chatter this Summer, I never thought this would come to pass. It's going to feel like a three ring circus off ice for a while with the attention this will bring. I hope he gets with the team on the ice in short order. This definitely adds a layer of extra excitement to the season.

This one for me. Tkachuk and Monahan's speed are closer to Jagr's than the other players. Bennett showed great chemistry with Gaudreau. Jankowski is mentored by Backlund. Everything work's out well with this lineup.
