I don't get how anyone who is a fan of a Western Conference team that is not the Predators can want them to win. Nashville sucks, Go Penguins!

Rinne's save percentage is taking a beating.

Penguins won last year. Let's see some new blood win the championship. Also, the Predators and their fans are a more likable team than the Penguins.

Classic Pens, get badly outplayed and end up winning.

Yep, the Pens just have that combo of skill and character that you can never count out. They find a way.

This is going to be Preds in 5 if the Penguins play like this all series. The stars alligned for them tonight but there is no way they win a game like this again.

To hell with the new blood. I didn't cheer for the Canucks against Boston because they would have been "new blood". The Predators are always a thorn in our side as well. Unless it is the Flames in the SCF I am always siding with the Eastern Conference team.

Nashville has to feel pretty good about this in spite of the score. They had a goal called back on a chintzy offside, and the Penguins opened the scoring on a long 5-on-3. From that point on it has been all Preds, and they have another chance here to gain the split in Pittsburgh.

Pens have scored on 3 of their last 4 shots ... over the last 40 minutes.

I thought it was a pretty even game except for the start of the first and the end of the second. Pittsburgh was probably a little better in the third. Shots on goal isn't the greatest stat.

To be fair to Rinne, he didn't see any action for 37 minutes. Hard to make saves on regular shots, nevermind sick wrist shots like the one Guentzel scored on.

Umm, probably for the same reason I hate the Preds, they are a Conference rival?
