Gord Miller was talking about the Flyers leading the way with 9 prospects at this tourney during the 2nd period, but then he posed the question regarding the quality of prospects and mentioned Minnesota and Ottawa. I like the quality of the Flames prospects at this tourney as well.

Why? Is that going to somehow change the fact he let's in soft goals game after game? That was a routine save.

goal tending isn't bad...its incredibly difficult to go 45 mins (real time) without a shot and then be expected then be expected to make a point blank save

Absolute fire drill there by Canada. Horrible defensive zone coverage!

Agreed. It's not an accident that players facing NCAA and Euro-pro league level shots vs teenagers are better overall.
If I was a parent with a high level kid, I would avoid the CHL completely to be honest.
Go to NCAA and get a degree at the same time, not to mention the college experience. Or pull a Matthews and go play in Europe against men, maybe learn another language and have some cool life experiences and make some bank.
Bus around Canada in the winter and make peanuts? No thanks.

That was quick. Gauthier makes it 5-3. Might be offside.

Our big lines constantly spend too much time on the ice. I.e. Their shifts are too long.

If you go the junior route you just have to be realistic with your chances when its over. As long as you are honest with your chances - you'll come out fine by playing in the CHL and then Canadian University. A lot of the 'other' activities that you get to do in junior because of the smaller town fame - i.e. charity work and visiting elementary schools really help develop maturity and other skills that you likely won't get at college where hockey is probably the 4th or lower in popularity among the athletes.
Now if you end up puttering around in the ECHL and lose your university money - NCAA is the way to go for sure.
