Except for Todd Bertuzzi.
Don't care about the situation; didn't like what he did to Steve Moore. Just a crappy human being to do something like that to a guy in the same league.
Maybe "hate" is too strong a word - more like "intensely dislike".

2- Amonte
3-Erikson
4-Glencross
5- Bouwmeester

I don't have reason to hate anyone, this is my list of most disappointing players:
1. Gary Leeman - I suppose a lot of it not his fault since our GM was a complete idiot and didn't realize that Leeman was a shadow of his former self on and off the ice, I'll leave it at that. What a disappointment.
2. Anders Eriksson - obvious
3. Chris Drury - no heart, pouty
4. Mike Leclerc - just an absolute nothing with us
5. Trevor Kidd - I loved him when the Flames drafted him and gradually, year by year he tore out the hopes of Flames fans. To think the Flames could have drafted Brodeur over him
Honourable mention: Brad Stuart - just never wanted to be here and his play showed it. I believe a family member was sick and he wanted to stay close to them in the East. Then he signs with LA the next year?

Close. It was for family reasons. It had something to do with his wife's (or girlfriend's) kids. I believe, the kids father had some custody and wouldn't allow them to leave the country so Stuart wanted to get back to the USA.

Dennis Wideman is the only one that really jumps out at me. I never wanted this guy on the team. He is a turn over machine. He can't play defense. He loses pretty much every puck battle he is in. He is also amazingly slow. It was a terrible contract the day it was signed and it has never been a good contract at any point even during his career year.
I suppose if I had to round it out I could put Phil Housley for pretty much the same reasons as Wideman.
I was never a fan of Karri Ramo, always out of position. Sure he made some highlight reel saves, but the only reason he had to make those saves was because he was so far out of position.
Brian Elliott is quickly making his was onto the list. He is just flat out terrible.

1 - Trevor Kidd. Most overrated player ever and I hated his weird experimental facial hair
2 - Dion Phaneuf. Probably same reason as everyone else.
3 - Jason Muzzatti. It seemed like I heard so much of him back in the day but when I recently looked up his career stats, I couldn't believe he'd only played 2 games for the Flames.
4 - Jim Kyte. What did he ever do besides get his clock cleaned by Dave Brown?
5 - Gary Leeman. Self explanatory.
Dishonourable mentions: Chris Dahlquist, Kevin Dahl, Brad Stuart, Ian White.

I always liked Paul Kruse for some reason. Still have his #12 jersey. Last player before Iggy to wear that number.
Paul Kruse had as many goals as Gretzky in the lockout shortened '95 season.

Anders Eriksson. No explanation necessary.
Chris Butler. See above.
Shane O'Brien. Would have taken literally anything else in that trade.
David Moss. Not the worst player, but 6'4", 210lbs, yet somehow invisible, did not excel at anything. Probably my most frustrating Flame ever. Was also in attendance when Moss missed that gaping open net in OT vs the Wings in '07, we lost that game and were eliminated, still stings.
Curtis McElhinney. One of the worst NHL goalies I've ever seen. No idea how he still has a job.

I cannot say hate, but mild dislike for
1. Fleury - after reading his book couldn't believe how much blame he placed on everyone around him - ie. When he played for the Horse Lake Thunder he described himself as doing well, but his team let him down
2. Sandy McCarthy - watching him skate was painful and it annoys me that he was an NHL player
3. Martin St. Louis - his role in us losing the cup and especially how winey he was at the end of his career
4. Dion Phaneuf - neanderthal and highly overrated
5. Ian White - his facial hair annoyed me

Consecutive 6 overall picks that were complete busts. Hence, the gloomy Young Gun era.
Just imagine how far the recent Flames fall back if 2 out of Monahan, Bennett or Tkachuk don't pan out.

Old fart chiming in. In no particular order:
Todd Bertuzzi. I was embarrassed when the Flames signed him. Did not attend one game or spend one dollar on merchandise while he was on the team.
Trevor Kidd. Had the attitude of Patrick Roy without the skill.
Doug Dadswell. We used to call him 'Dodge' for a reason. The Brett Hull trade happened largely because the team so desperately needed a real backup goalie instead of an inflatable Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
Brett Hull. To be fair, I was highly disappointed with his tenure as a Flame, and not sad he was traded. He was massively immature back then, fat, out of condition, uncoachable – thought that as long as he scored goals, no other part of the game mattered. Years later, after he left St. Louis, he learned to play both ends of the ice and I came to respect him.
Alexander Godynyuk. Yeah, a lot of you are going ‘Who?’ One of the five rotten fruits of the Gilmour-Leeman trade, and in my mind, the rottenest.
Leeman was a has-been, but hey, you've got to be something before you get to be a has-been. Petit was a middling journeyman D. Jeff Reese was a lousy goalie, but we've had so many lousy backups, what does one more matter? Craig Berube, well, you gotta respect The Chief.
But Godynyuk brought nothing. 13 years of pro hockey, five NHL clubs, never made it as a regular with any of them. And he was on some bad teams, including ours. I have to think the only reason he was thrown in on the Gilmour trade was to make the numbers equal. I have seen broken sticks lying on the ice that played better defence than he did for the Flames.
