Liked what I saw of Djanko he had some good plays and definitely did well protecting the puck and using his large frame!

Awful period by the Flames. No urgency whatsoever and lots of standing around. Isles are also doing a good job clogging up the middle of the ice. Flames can barely get across the red line before turning it over it seems.

When I saw the replay it looked like it was blocker save.

God. They could've made real headway in salvaging the season if they just put some actual EFFORT into these two BTBs. This one's far from over yet, but I'm not feeling confident based on that start. Putrid.

Flames are an ultra boring team to watch most of the time. We made the Islanders look respectable in the 1st. Laugh.

We are having serious problems in the first period of games. Feels like we are lucky to get more than 5 shots in firsts lately.

Yeah, not really on the players if you keep swapping them out and it's the same effort.

When was the last time Sportsnet talked about the Flames during the intermission

Calgary can't get out of their own zone tonight. No breakout to speak of. Too much hesitation. They have no answer for their opponents speed in most cases. It can't be much fun to be in that dressing room right now.

On the plus side, I'm really enjoying watching Jankowski play tonight. He looks good.

If I didn't like Rick Ball and Kelly Hrudey so much I wouldn't watch a second of Sportsnet coverage.

We are probably the most boring team to watch in the entire league.

Where is the "exciting, fast paced, possession hockey" we were told we'd play under Gulutzan?

If Jankowski wasn't playing in this game i would have turned this off already.

We're too busy "defending fast" to win/entertain.

...whatever the hell "defending fast" means.

If they had McDavid, I bet it would be all the time. And even during other teams' intermissions.

I hope GG is throwing garbage cans at the players right now. What a horrible first period

Monahan played 3:32 in the first period.

This coach can't get a good performance from anyone not named Engelland/Backlund/Tkachuk/Frolik.
