So - big kudos to Journey17; had it not been for her generosity, I would’ve been watching from home rather than sitting in the lower bowl with an insanely good view. We had a great time, which the Flames win only made better.
If any of you heard someone screaming “DION! YOU SUCK!!!!”, that was me. I may have had a few Dome foams in me at the time. I’m still a little tipsy right now.

Awesome.

Willie Joosen is very popular on Reddit as well. For the same reasons.
Ottawa should have buried us in the first, as the Flames got that early goal and were satisfied to ride out the period with it. Was really nice to see the team re-focus into the second and third periods though.

I swear I heard the Game of Thrones music at one point.. I thought it sounded awesome on the organ

Not a fan of Chiasson on the top line and he and the revolving door have been, in part, a factor in Monahan and Gaudreau's slow start.
No doubt they'll get going soon. Even with the start they've had Johnny has 7 points in 9 games and Monny has 4 goals.
I expect they'll catch fire at some point soon, just hope to see a permanent RW on that line who fits well.
I'm getting tired of watching the JG-Monahan line being hemmed into their own end chasing the puck around. With the other offensive lines playing well, Gulutzan, Monahan and JG really need to figure out how to get these guys in the offensive zone more.

I think it's time to split them up. Monahan has been a ghost this season so far and the entire success of the line is on Johnny's shoulders. I think Monahan needs to play with some lesser players to get him less dependant on just having to do nothing else than get in the right spot to receive Gaudreau's passes. He needs to start doing more on his own. Bennett has been much better than Monahan so far (outside of the stupid penalties) and deserves the top line promotion.

Been thinking this also. Think the only reason they have not been split up is that the flames are currently winning and the other lines seem to be clicking. When the flames go on another losing streak ,and they will, if Mony is still playing poorly i think you see a Johnny- Bennet- Brouwer line.
It's true. After Elliot made a bunch of solid saves in succession during the 2nd period my brother and I started talking about the fact the Ramo or Hiller would have let some of those shots in. It's almost hard to think of any stretch over the 82 game season that any goaltender put together three games like Elliot just did less than a month into the season.
was at the game. I was happy with the play of all 4 lines. We have alot of depth up front.
I will say that Chiasson is hot garbage on that top line. Imagine if we actually had a talented right winger to play with Monahan and Gaudreau?

Elliott looked Stellar.
Chiasson had two assists yesterday. He looked very good. Are you watching the same games as we all are?

I thought Chaisson has looked a lot more talented than Monahan lately. On the PP (I guess just after) he made a great backpass to Bennett in front of the net for the tieing goal. Then on the insurance he made Dion look really bad then was heads up to get the puck to Johnny behind the net instead of taking a bad shot and then parked himself in front of the net screening for Monahan's goal. A secondary assist maybe, but his play was a driver in that goal.
These are plays that smart offensive players do, his foot speed is on par for that line, his creativity is getting there and he has an instinct for the font of the net. I don't see what people don't like about him there, seems like the best fit so far this season.
