That's a lot of breading, looks too much like the KFC extra tasty crispy which last time I tried was gross with way too much breading (or whatever it in the batter).

Popeyes always looks like that, but when you eat it, it's not really heavy on the breading.

lol relax.
I've tried In N Out a few times. It's decent, but not the foodgasm that you weirdly makes it out to be. It's on the same level as Wendy's.
And yes, 5 guys is much better.

No its not. And Wendy's? Please. I mean hey we live in a free society and you're free to have a weird and wrong taste in burgers.
Enjoy that freedom while you choke down gross Wendy's square "burgers"

Its been a few years but when i lived in NC, Popeye's was by far the best fast food going IMO. Carls was pretty good for certain burgers, but Popeyes was REALLY good chicken and some other artery clogging items. Their biscuits and gravy was sooooo good but soooo bad for you.
Hopefully this Popeyes is true to its southern roots but i fully expect it will be yet another overpriced vanilla place.

So true. I put White Castle right along with it.
Seeing someone say its better than 5 guys is mind boggling hilarious and simply false.

Let me walk that back a little, because I'm including price in that too. The last time I went to Five Guys I also had a pretty meh burger, could have been a one off.

Everyone here taking about Popeye's biscuits and gravy as if it's the best thing on the menu. Here in Louisiana, people know that you go to Popeye's for the red beans and rice. I'm not even a big fan of Popeye's (as has been stated before), but man that red beans and rice is legendary.
When the Calgary Popeye's opens, I urge you all to go there and give it a try.

White Castle, quite possibly one of the most disappointing moments of my food life
a decade of anticipation from that stupid Harold and Kumar movie amounted into one massive fail when i bit into one of their sliders. I didnt even finish the other two sliders i ordered and went somewhere else for the rest of my lunch

White Castle is simply disgusting. I am not sold that there is anything even close to resembling beef on that "burger".
I've tried In N Out a few times and I have never been blown away by it. I am wondering if I am missing something or it just isn't for me. It's not terrible but it isn't that good.

I don't really consider in n out comparable with 5 guys. Different type of chain.
In n out is quality fast food.
5 guys is in that overlap category where they aren't exactly restaurant but most definitely are not fast food. Smashburger, south street etc fit into this category.
They are slower, more expensive and never have drive thrus. They aren't fast food.
In n out is better than its peers, like McDs.

Speaking of White Castle, I was in the new sev on Southland and Acadia the other day and they had a package of frozen White Castle burger. Maybe 9 in the pack? I've never seen them before. Weird they were in a sev.

Is that where the Shell station used to be? It's odd they closed the one across from RT Alderman and opened a new one less than 500m away.
Also, White Castle burgers are gross enough "fresh". I can't imagine how disgusting a frozen version would be.
