The U.S could really use Kessel and Tyler Johnson. They went with Abdelkader who is a good player but he's useless in a tournament like this where has to face elite talent like the Canadians.
Russia is probably more of a complete team compared to North America. I think Russia gives Canada the most problems, but Canada still handily wears them down and defeats them.

I keep seeing Kessel's name being mentioned, isn't he hurt? Or nursing an injury or something?

Third period..6 quality scoring chances for Canada.
USA just got their first from Stepan with 8:40 left.

I'd say Sweden is better top to bottom than Russia or North America but they all have their strengths.

Sweden's is clearly D. Russia has the skilled forwards of North America augmented with veteran experience, and North America has the speed to overwhelm either.

I don't know who gives Canada the most trouble - I'd say North America only because by and large Canada won't have a large book on any of them and they're so creative.

After watching tonight's display, I'm going to be very surprised if the final isn't a sweep.

If this game took place at recess, Canada would get a detention for not letting the American kids play.

Team NA's D would be eaten alive by Canada. Just not good enough.
Wouldn't hurt, wouldn't take long.

Yeah, he likely would have been named as one of the replacement players, but he opted out due to his surgery. When he had his day with the Cup, his hand was wrapped up pretty heavily.

The USA had a bunch of posts. Yeah Canada is clearly better, but it's not like it was complete domination either IMO.

Has anyone noticed how they are able to manipulate the board advertising on television? Very cool.

I stand by my earlier position that this has been incredibly boring. Surgical, impressive, dominant, many other adjectives, but thrilling ain't one of them.

It was complete and utter Domination..
Canada has had the puck 80 percent of the game.

A 4-2 scoreline with three posts isn't exactly utter domination.

Canada wasn't going to be risking a ton with a 4-1 lead and Price in net.

This was utter domination. It was in doubt for literally 14 seconds.

So, if you're Babcock do you give Price the day off tomorrow?

Did you watch the game? It is utter domination. Honestly men against boys. Haven't seen an American team get so outplayed in a long time.

I would. You're already in the playoffs, give your backup a chance to see some real action.

Team USA is going to get ripped to shreds in the media after this.

Well, other than the last time they played Canada.
