Tkachuk is almost the size of Corey Perry and 13 years younger. Perry was also a London Knight. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Key thing to note from the article is that he currently weighs 202 pounds. Let's see how much weight he gains when he comes back for training camp. Hope he can gain an additional 10-13 more pounds or so.

I know Janko has been around enough to know what to say in these types of settings, but I like his attitude and approach. It sounds like he's ready for this challenge. I like many others around here, have high hopes for this kid. And not just because of where he was drafted.

Let's go Janko.

Mangiapane article

http://calgaryherald.com/sports/hock...velopment-camp

Quote:
The slick 20-year-old winger is stuck on the sidelines, rehabbing a nagging groin injury he suffered earlier in his Ontario Hockey League season with the Barrie Colts.

“You’re going on the ice every day for practices and games,” Mangiapane said on Monday, as the prospects went through fitness testing at WinSport. “Then, when you have an injury, you just stop. This is the biggest injury I’ve ever had. It’s tough because I can’t do anything. It kind of sucks, but it happens.”
Quote:
The injury happened in February but Mangiapane played through it, managing the pain and trying to loosen it up each day. Trainers taped him, but his range of motion while he was skating was limited.

“It felt tight so I didn’t want to push too hard,” he explained. “But once it loosened up, it was fine and I could play with it.

“They don’t want to take any risks right now, that’s why I’m not going on the ice. I just want to make sure it’s healed.”

Andersson's face looks slimmer from last year. Kylington looks like he's added a little bit of bulk too.
Dillon Dube in one of the next videos can hardly keep the smile off his face in his interview. Hope this guy becomes a player.

Best part of the video is when he said the Saddledome is the only NHL rink he has been in, even he knows Edmonton is no good.

17-year old Dillon Dube has a heavier beard than a lot of 30-year olds.

It does. Glad to see this. His conditioning is probably one of the most important factors in his development. Andersson has good awareness, so if he can improve on his endurance/speed, he'll be a promising player. He has pretty good English.

It's nice seeing so many well-spoken players and prospects. I don't think this was the case in the Sutter days.

Could've sworn I saw Rasmus on Game of Thrones get a star carved into his forehead a few Sundays ago.

Now that I remembered that I packed my laptop, I'll be able to type a little faster on here. Still doing power skating drills. This year the players have names on their jerseys. That's a huge step in the right direction. At least you can tell who each of the players are now without having to refer to the sheet every two minutes.

Carroll, Janko, Smith, Culkin, Bruce, and Kanzig are the guys out there.
