De Haan hasn't played well in these playoffs.

The Islanders middle six is going to kill them. Kulemin has to pot that chance he had right at the end of regulation.

Watching Drouin is almost like watching Johnny and it leaves me thinking what the hell was Cooper doing for the last two years? Sure looks like Drouin had a legitimate beef and was being under/misused.

So long as Drouin doesn't really want out, I can't imagine he's dealt now both because he's looked terrific and now his value is sky high and I doubt anyone matches the price Yzerman would want. Lightning are stacked and in the easier conference. Could be going to the Finals a few times in the years to come.

Playing with Palat (and Johnson) has been the perfect booster pack to his career. Drouin didn't even look that good playing with Stamkos.

Palat and Johnson is basically a mini Toews-Hossa To add a Drouin to that... ridiculous.

And then you have Kucherov, a top ten forward anchoring the second line.

That's with Stamkos out. Absurd.

Not many months ago some fans here wouldn't swap Ferland for Druin. I'm not aware of the offers Yzerman was receiving for him but props to him for not panicking and selling low like Button did with Marc Savard.

Bummed to see a 3-1 series as it should be 2-2...I don't care who wins, I just hope it goes 7 games

Not sure if it's just me being reasonably new to the game bit the lightning radio commentators are absolutely terrible. The one guy sounds like the grumpy old man at the bar moaning about everything and the other indulges him them gets way over excited. Painful to hear.

That's Phil Esposito isn't it? And I agree...he's terrible.

Esposito: OHHH

Yeah that's who it is and he is not good.

But it is Espo. The guy is a Canadian sports legend.

Huh?? None of this is right.

Kucherov isn't on the second line. He's on the first line. With Johnson and Killorn. Drouin isn't playing with Palat and Johnson, he's playing with Filpulla and Palat. And he's the most dangerous guy on that line. No one is boosting his success, he's doing it himself.

Useless Islanders.

They don't look like they belong in this series at all, just dreadful.

They really drew the perfect matchup in the first round

Score-Adjusted 5v5 CF%
Lightning - 52.7 (5th)
Islanders - 49.8 (18th)
Panthers - 49.3 (19th)

This series is basically a 6 seed (7 if Price were healthy) vs a 2 seed in the 2nd round. Though that 2 seed is missing two of its best players.

Hedman with two goals and the Lightning have a 3-0 lead late in the second period.

Flames haven't won a ton of playoff series In the last 20 years but when was the last time the flames had a series in the bag like this? Basically insurmountable lead in the 3rd period of an elimination game.

They were both shown skating in practice. Stamkos hasn't been ruled out of the playoffs, but that could just be hot air.
