This was something else I wondered about. Why did Falcon tell Stark to go alone? How could Zemo have predicted or influenced that? What if Vision had showed up too?

Again, these are small nitpicks for me. I enjoyed the movie as a whole.

I guess it just didn't work for me. Maybe part of the problem was when the movie tried to show how much Stark was affected by his parents' death earlier. The message got confused because it looked like he was actually upset about Pepper not showing up. I don't recall seeing him hurt over losing his parents before in previous films (though I could have just forgotten).

To me, who shows up is irrelevant to me. The whole point of Zemo's plan is to create a giant wedge between the avengers. Even if Vision was there, Tony would have still been filled with rage and would probably not listen to anyone's reason other than to kill Bucky. That worked for me.

Think it was more because he was going to support Bucky and Cap originally, if the whole crew shows up again then it looks like they are going for a fight.

Also draws more attention from General Ross who was fed up with Iron Man by that point.

Far and away the best version of Peter Parker and Spiderman on screen. The dynamic between him and Mr Stark was a joy to watch. Paul Rudd added to that comedic element as well. Daniel Brühl was great as always, hoping we see more of him.

Best Avengers movie and best movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe I think.

Yeah I like the new Spiderman actor and I liked Black Panther. I thought the animation when Spiderman was in action too cartoony though. He was to bright or something...looked really fake.

Also when the Avengers are fighting each other it feels like you are watching an inner-squad scrimmage. Neither side is really pissed at the other side and not trying to hurt each other.

But isn't that the point? No one was really out for blood in that fight, nor should they be. Tony's just trying to stop his friend and his crew and take them into custody, not rip their heads off. Even the new guys in the fight knew of these guys and knew these guys mean well. I'm sure each side gave explicit orders not detain and limit injury. It was a schoolyard scrap between friends. Hawkeye was pulling punches. Spiderman was just told to keep a distance and web people down. Antman never meant to throw that gas tanker at WM. He thought it was a water truck lol.

The final fight between Steve and Tony was obviously much more weighty with everyone fighting to their limit. That was the serious fight.

Normally don't like Fallon but Renner's pretty awesome.

That and Falcon's "So...you like cats?" were the best one-liners.

The Anthony Mackie/Sebastian Stan press tour has some absolute gold in some of the interviews. I recommend people check them out. It's funny how two characters that hate each other so much have such a bromance between the actors.

I saw it with the wife last night. I think the storyline is well-extended past its best before date. It was a pretty boring movie. Yes, the fight scenes were fun, but we have all seen so many fight scenes.

I agree that the pacing of the early part of the movie was kinda slow, which is why I previously mentioned that it could have been tightened up. But basically everything after the UN explosions when they start to chase Bucky down was awesome.

CA: Winter Soldier and Ironman 1 are still the apex of Marvel movies for me. I would peg this movie as top tier still though, along with Avengers, GotG and actually Antman (which, though was pretty successful by most standards, I regard as highly underrated in the MCU collection).

On a similar note, I think Dr. Strange will be good for setting a different tone in the MCU I believe. Benedict isn't really known to be an action actor lol.

I didn't even realize that Tilda Swinton was going to be a main character in Dr. Strange. I don't know much about Dr. Strange, but I really hope that movie is good. Tilda Swinton might be my favourite actor.

EDIT: Holy ####. I just checked the IMDB page. The movie also features Mads Mikkelsen and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Basically, this has the best "under-the-radar" cast of any Marvel movie ever made.

Fun and good movie!

The "pulling the punches" point during the stand off doesn't bug me at all considering both sides intent during the fight

However, it isn't nit picky to say the bad guys entire grand plan came down to good guy bad luck and the good guys making the wrong decision after the wrong decision.

This really hurts the movie. It doesn't need to be a bullet proof plan, or a thinking mans movie, but at least make the general concepts of the bad guys plan believable!

Saw it again last night with my dad. Not as awesome on a repeat viewing. Definitely drags quite a bit in some parts. I understand adding in the little scenes for Vision/SW but they weren't very engaging.

Some superhero cheese that is funny in a way, but distracting in others (Black Panther's constant hero posing, how Bucky always seems to land on his left arm).

One thing I don't think has been brought up enough is how much ass Black Widow kicks in this movie. She has some of the most excitingly choreographed scenes, and is probably the most fun version of her character. Scarlett. Let's be friends.
