Flames should consider themselves lucky to leave the period down by a goal. Though they did seem to improve in the latter stages of the period leading up to the power play...

In the old days I used to go to the kitchen or washroom at commercial breaks but now I go when the Flames have a powerplay as I know I won't miss any goals scored for two minutes and don't have to endure the frustration of watching a collective special teams effort of total failure.

I don't want to rag on him, but are we not approaching the realisation that Gelinas cannot coach special teams? Feel like its the elephant in the room. I'd argue its becoming an even bigger killer to this team than the goaltending.
