Sucks that no one will be around. October? I don't know about you but with Destiny pac plus about 6 other amazing looking games Im not sure it will draw me back
They are saying good things, but I'm convinced its to little to late for this one. Releasing a patch with no new content will spike the player base, but by the time they roll this out people will be playing Destiny, Gears of War4, Battlefield 1, COD and a million other brand new games.
Happy to be wrong but I feel like this game is pretty much dead now. Will maintain a small and dedicated community I'm sure, but a 90% of player base not many will be coming back.

Right, you've already said this once before so OBVIOUSLY the updates i post are not for you then, cheers.
I've been enjoying the game. Yes the DZ is broken and there are some things that drive me nuts, but I've found a great group of guys to play with (Xbox one) and I'm still enjoying it and I hope that alot of the issue's are fixed come October.

I've been getting back into it and really starting to enjoy it. Even the Underground which can get repetitive has been fun. For me, my friends and I got some good gear so we can run Heroic Underground easily enough, and we get to just chill. It's been fun.
I'm looking forward to the update, interested to see how things change. I'll work on my other characters and do the 1 to 30 as that is pretty fun. Always had a lot of hope for this game.

That's basically what I've been doing, have all 4 characters off Manhattan and just putting in the work with the guys I know to get them up to level 30, 2 at level 30, 1 at level 23, and 1 at level 4 but putting in the work to get them all up to level 30.

Look, I've put tons of time into the game myself. I have been vested since day one and have the gold edition, so not sure what you getting all bent out of shape about.
Most of what I'm saying reflects the comments and community of the game. I'll jump on and play, but the strategy to push this all back to fix the game drives me nuts, because the game has made so many errors that could have been learned from similar games that came before.

Destiny released several patches to fix the game when it was broken, 90% of the player base did not leave. Along with those patches came several that added no content just balanced weapons.
Battlefield 4 released with some major issues, took almost a full year to fix and still has a huge player base several years later, also several patches that had no content. This is such the case for countless games release in the DLC and Patch era.
Games will always dwindle in player base as time progresses and other games grab players attention, that is inevitable, saying 90% however is just being overly dramatic. The game might be dead for you but i like many others still enjoy it and will continue to enjoy it, as I instead of complaining and exaggerating understand that nothing is perfect.

As a side note I also thought the game was absurdly hard until I figured it out just recently.
TJ and I can 2 man challenging with ease and last night Ice, TJ, another and I cake walked through Heroic. That other guy was a gear score 200 3 weeks ago and is now a 255 and has only played 3 times with us over that last 3 weeks.
There is no grind to this game its just about finding the proper way.

I very much enjoy this games at its core, I believe the "bones" of this game are truly great and i know others who feel the same way. I was extremely excited after hearing the developers admit that their game was currently broken and they intend to fix it. I posted what i felt was positive news and a chance for fans to be encouraged that needed change was on its way. After each of my video posts, for some reason you felt it necessary to comment negatively and decided to remind everyone this game is dead, that it's too late. Your last two posts are very similar and to me it feels like you're looking for others to validate your opinion which you are free to do my friend but why does it always have to come after i post something positive? I'm sure you can see how that could get pretty annoying so my advice is if you are truly done with the Division, shouldn't you leave this thread to those who choose to keep it alive and want the game to successfully change for the better.

Just a thought
To the first point, the biggest issue I have with the end game is that it basically boils down to huddling in a corner with smart cover and slowly popping out and shooting while people farm 4 horseman.
As go the second, I'm glad you are happy the developers came out and basically admitted there game was a broken mess. The game had a great 0-30 level experience, but the end game has left a ton to be desired. From an unforgiving dark zone that was either a gank or hacker zone, or the "end game" of half-baked incursions.
Destiny did have a ton of issues that has had the benefit of 3 expansions (soon 4) but it also launched with true PvP, a great raid, and also great "bones" What pisses me off is that Division had the benefit of loot shooters that came before it like Diablo and Destiny, and still managed to make a mess of the end game.
And if you want to check, its not like I just popped in here to troll, been commenting on the game and this thread the whole time. Sorry if you took my comments as a troll on the game, but I don't have to agree or can comment on the state of the game, it is a message board. If you want true complaining check out the reddit for the game.
I fear you that you have posted a click bait article.
From the article:
During launch week it boasted an avg. hourly player count of 80,411 on Steam which dropped to 7,471 from May 31 - June 6. A difference of ~91%. That means players would count the same person playing over multiple hours, multiple times.
In that article the steam numbers are generated by player hours count and not individual players on the LAUNCH DAY. I remember throwing down almost 7 hours on launch day, so I am one of those ones who decided not to play 7 hours every day after that. If you also look at their numbers a week later the HOURS played in a day was down 50%. I am sorry but this is the case in every single game that has ever come out. Hours played in a day drops astronomically after the first 2 weeks.
If the article instead stated "People are playing 93% less hours a day then on the day it launched" then it would be moving in a direction towards mildly responsible reporting.
When it comes to the reddit thread you know as well as others know its directly referencing the PC version which suffers from hacks (aimbot, wall hacks and weapon mod scaling) which games like battlefield, COD, Titan fall also suffer from. Do they need to fix the hacks and create a better system for detecting them like EA did with punk buster? Yes they do, does that aspect of the game impact console users? Not at all.
I want to be clear that I am not saying this is the greatest game ever released (battle toads) and I am agreeing that it has a long way to go but lets not kid anyone with the destiny references. I remember 1 out of 3 raids croata's sword would disappear, I remember being able to swap weapons during reload to automatically reload the weapon without the reload time, I remember the op slide shotgun (which still exists) i remember hammer titans laying waste to entire teams with their special, and the list goes on an on. As most consoles do not list their player bases and declines I would be interested what decline over launch destiny is at.
Just a thought
Forbes released some information on destiny and its player base
Only 31.1% of Guardians have equipped a piece of Exotic gear.
Only 23.8% of Guardians have worn Legendary/Exotic armor in every slot.
Only 24.2% of Guardians have earned max Vanguard marks in a week, while just 16% have maxed their Crucible marks in a week.
Only 23.1% of Guardians have reached rank 3 with the Vanguard.
Only 19.2% of Guardians have completed a Raid.
Only 16.9% of Guardians have maxed out a Warlock or Hunter subclass, and just 15.2% have maxed out a Titan subclass.
One could write a terrible click bait article and say that "the player base is down 80.8%" because only 19.2% have done a raid and that is end game. Maybe next there could be an article that is written that says "the player base is down 84.8%" because only 15.2% of players have got to max level with a titan". It is easy to take a completely arbitrary number and twist it to get people excited and get some clicks.

I agree, the end game in division isn't all that great... But, there is a lot more to do then the 4 horsemen. I went from around 220 gs with an ok sentry set, now sitting at 255 with a very good reclaimer set running just underground, and doing HVTs with friends. I have yet to do the new incursion, only done clear sky on heroic once, and haven't been in the DZ farming since falcon lost first released. Odd time I've maybe gone in for a minute or 2, but nothing long term. And I don't have the season pass so I don't get the free gear bi-monthly.
Farming isn't fun. Fun for me is shooting stuff, and the underground has been nice, especially running with friends, and we share everything. That for me is where the end game improved for me. Before it was all about gearing up fast and rushing through the content (I did the same for Destiny) finding all the shortcuts and hoping for the fastest way possible. Now, it's just spending time with friends, getting gear, sharing gear, etc.
The 4 horsemen farm to me is essentially trying to find the easiest way to get gear... instead of just, you know, playing the game.
And just to add... One of the biggest issues people had with destiny and the end game experience is that there was no match making. Division, has that. And yeah, you might get kicked because of gear score. But on LFG how many times were people kicked from groups because they didn't have a Gally. But like both games, every now and then you get some good people and they will bring you through it regardless.
All games have issues, and I applaud Massive for taking risks with this game. And I give them full credit for admitting that they might not have worked and doing what they can to fix it. But right now, I enjoy logging in, chatting with friends, shooting ####, and collecting gear...
I was at the same point, hated this game. Had a friend though that always wanted to play and in the process, I started enjoying it again...
"This game is dead, there's at least six other better games coming out that you should play, its all just word play that anything will be fixed and at least 90% of you agree with me and know that I'm right"

You're welcone
Man you seriously need to lay off and quit being a jerk.
If you would rather have actual news it sounds like Falcons Lost is getting checkpoints.
Bro didn't you notice all the different smile faces, I was only joking, lol. Of course I apologize if you didn't take it that way, it's all good my friend.
