A Shake up , Either a firing or a trade. or some one waived and a rookie called up. Something... This team is lost out there half the team looks disengaged disinterested. Team isn't playing anything close to last season.

okay I over exaggerated on Putrid. But we only scored one goal didn't generate enough bounces. And Bishop out played Ramo.

I think trade value is at an all time low right now for the team though, and pulling the trigger to early might hurt them in the long run.

Might be better to wait and see if they can turn things around, or at least get the players to improve their individual stats so that there is a better return.

When we suck, we lose.
When we play really well, we lose. This wasn't even at the hands of ramo. He played well!

You're probably frustrated with the overall play this season, but this game was not horrible. Again, they had a really slow start but kept it at 0-0. Effectively dominated the 2nd, and kept up with the bolts in the 3rd.

A few mistakes in the 3rd led to goals and that's that. This was not a "bad" game. But this season has been "bad".

Just sit Wideman for a few games that will be all.

You put it very much right on the money with the season and with fan frustration. It sucks when we lose but it's Great when we win.

Trading for players now is not the right thing. This team is so far out of the playoff picture that they would have to play almost as good as Montreal the rest of the way to even be close enough to have a sniff of the playoffs.

It isn't going to happen.

The next few months should consist of trying to figure out how to maximize assets that can be dealt at the deadline and selling them off then spending the offseason trying to fill some of the spots on the team, either through trades or free agency.

This is easily the worst Flames team I've seen since the dark years in the late 90s/early 2000s. Just brutal. WTF happened to these guys??

My thoughts on the game

- First 8 minutes of the first period was a mess. Team settled down after that.
- Icings and breakouts in general are a serious problem. No willingness to take a risk through the middle of the ice.
- Gio is fighting something, his mobility is just not there. It was there earlier this year, I.E. vs Detroit so it's not an age thing. Still, Gio-Brodie was our best pair.
- Hamilton is starting to look like our #3 Defenseman. Time for Hartley to recognize him as such and stop depending on Russell and Wideman so strongly.
- Wideman and Russell made way too many bad plays on their respective pairings to clear the zone. Wideman cost us the first and third goals single-handedly with bad clears, can't blame Ramo or anyone for those. If he can't skate the puck out himself then call up Kulak or something because this is not working. He is a liability.
- I liked Smid's game. In particular he had a play standing up the blue line that this team has been sorely missing. Hope he draws in tommorow. Really want to see Smid-Nakladal.
- Wow, our cycle game from the Stajan / Backlund / Grant lines looked the best it's every looked in the Bob Hartley era. Ferland, Grant, Jooris, Jones, and Bennett were a few of the standouts.
- The Bennett goal was a beauty. He's quickly becoming our best forward along with Johnny. Hope he gets moved back to centering Johnny, breaking that up was dump.
- On the other hand Hudler-Monahan-Gaudreau is not working. It just isn't. Everything is one and done with zero sustained pressure. Hudler and Monny are losing the footraces and the puck battles. Gaudreau tries but he's 170 lbs soaking wet and gets pinned to the boards.
- PK was bad.
- All-in-all, this is a loss I could have lived with if we weren't so far down the standings. It was a well-played game overall.

Him and Matthews. This team needs that big, dominant top 6 forward to take the attention away from Johnny and Sam.

He played ok? He played great and well enough for us to win tonight. Your hate for Ramo is pretty clouded and blind. Granted he's had bad games, but this was a great game by him. He battled through a ton of traffic and tracked the puck extremely well tonight. Soaked up a lot of shots as well.

If your definition of being out-goaltended is just looking at the shot-clock then don't bother watching the game. Bishop really did not have a lot of traffic and most of the Flames' shots were right on the lightning bolt. The really good chances we had we missed the net or were boxed out.

Overall a very good game by Flames, but a lazy unaware penalty by the captain costed us the game. Add that on top of a lazy turnover by Wideman sealed the game. 2 bad mistakes in crucial times of the game.

Wasted a good game by our goalie...one of a couple we've had all year.

Flames ranked 29th in the league, one up on Columbus. With a fan base like us we simply do not deserve this crappy hockey. BT or BB or Oh Baby please do something NOW to shake the team up. My looming heart attack will get me before the end of April ! Save me please

I enjoyed watching Bennett, Ferland, Frolik and Grant. That's it. Is Hudler as useless as I think he is? He's been terrible as far as I'm concerned.

I like Grant. Think he could be an great 4th liner. He's my bright spot...
