its why the nhl awards have always been a joke...important to the league for marketing etc.., but in reality the voting processes for most awards are ridiculous.

I think the problem with the Norris is that people/voters often just look at points. I like Erik Karlsson, he is a good person and defenseman but in my opinion isn't the best defenseman in the NHL. Duncan Keith, Drew Doughty and Shea Weber are all better.
