I hope no one boos Sven. Regardless of reason he was passed here by a lot of prospects and knew he wasn't going to get a chance.

He stayed quiet about his trade request and the flames and his agent worked together and got a second round pick. If he publicly or his agent leaked that he would refuse to sign then I get the hate but he handled the situation professionally and allowed us to get a good asset.

This might actually be a good game for the Canucks to get Baertschi in. After all the incidents in the last couple of games I expect the refs to be calling absolutely everything. It will probably be a very low level of physicality with lots of special teams time. Perfect opportunity for Sven.

I don't think sven is going to be an impactful player. He had his struggles in thr NHL in the regular season, and now he's a smaller guy coming into an already physical series. Signs are definetly pointing against him.

I for one am glad that Steve Baertschi finally gets an opportunity to play in front of the C of Red in a playoff game. I'm sure it will be as loud and raucous as he imagined when he was drafted, and that the visiting players will be completely overwhelmed by the sheer power and will of 19,000 screaming fans.

how people can defend/well-wish Sven when he's coming into a playoff series against us is beyond me. don't care about the he said she said over the terms on which he left..he no longer wanted to be a part of the organization and that was evident for some time.

boo and heckle all you wish people. if he tries to be a factor then I will.

I'm leaning onto your side. You may as well cheer Chris Higgins if you're going to sympathize with Sven because he played less than a full season worth of games with us too.

Outside of serious injuries, no one should get a hall pass if you're a fan of the Flames in a rivalry-intensive series like this.
