Can the Islanders get a PP goal?

Why didn't they pull the goalie for a 6 on 4?

The Islanders were getting better pressure 5 on 5 previous to that powerplay.

Scared of a free nonicing shot at an empty net

Bah!

I took Caps in my pool but I was pulling for the Isles. The East is hot garbage.

When you have 11 shots total in a game 7 and almost half of them come from one player (Boychuk), you're gunna have a bad time.

Good for the Caps. They're the kind of team that can go on a run. This might be one of those years.

Jack Capuano was way too conservative. Even with the extra empty net risk he should have had the goalie pulled for at least the last minute of the power play. The Islanders struggled to get chances all game and a 6 on 4 would have greatly helped.

11 SOG for the Islanders is the lowest in any game 7 in the NHL.

At least the Islanders got to close out the old barn with a win in Game 6. A NY-NY matchup would have been fun.

Happy for Ovi. If the Flames don't win the Cup this year, I hope it's the Caps.
