A) What his previous shootout goal looked like and if it was as filthy.

B) If someone knew that he was 1-for-1.

C) If someone on the team tipped Hartley off about his mad shootout skills.

D) If Hartley pulled this out of his a$$.

E) If Schlemko is a shootout weapon underneath all of that ice time.
You can pretty much look up for the answer to all those questions!

Left late in the third to go play basketball. Came home, took a shower, came into my room and did this as soon as I saw the shootout goal, right back into the shower. SO DIRTY.

Schlemko in his interview said Hartley asked him if he was any good, and he told Hartley he was 1 for 1.

Truly amazed and proud of this team. And a big shout out to Hartley for even thinking of the new guy in the shootout.

The Schlemkodian Deke is already a timeless classic...

Schlemko will go down as the greatest waver pick up in Flames history. Mark my words.

Listening to the post-game show on Fan 960.

Not verbatim, but here's the post-game interview with Hartley:

Hartley: I asked David if he was any good at this. He said "Well, I'm 1 for 1." And I thought, that's pretty good. And then Russell said "He's really good".

Flames still have Ferland and Stajan as extra forwards. Then Drew Shore and Colborne can still play as a winger. I am pretty sure David Jones will be alright.

That move alone was worth the nomination!

I hate to be a wet blanket in a really exciting win, but thats a pretty big loss IMO, him and Bouma are our 2 most physical players... doesn't look like something that would be too serious, hopefully its only a game or two he's out.

Kinda feel bad for the guy, must've been really disappointing. Hopefully he's feeling a lot better about his chances now.
Sounds to me like Arizona pulled the same with him that they pulled on Dubnyk - blatant tanking

Even if he's sheltered the rest of the way, if Schlemko can pick us up a couple clutch shootout goals to count towards the playoff push, that's worth the waiver claim alone.

So much win.

Ramo with another solid game.

Russell with 15 blocked shots.

Jooris with nerves of steel to keep the Flames in the shootout.

And of course Schlemko.

Huge feel-good game. I think they really needed that.

Also, nice to see Gaudreau score in Boston. I am sure he had some local fans in the crowd.
