This trade is a perfect illustration of how assets are valued differently, depending on where your team is at.
For Carolina who is starting a rebuild, getting a 1st and McKeown for a UFA is a fantastic return and IMO they won the trade.
But for LA, who are top contenders, giving up a 1st and a young prospect is really currency that is not that big of a deal to them. Win while you can and deal with it later.
Having said that, I doubt their ability to re-sign him. And if not, that was a steep price for a rental.
As for Sureloss' post, I agree with the others, I like what NAS got and LA paid too much. Great post by the way, sureloss - that was a perfect comparison for two very similar trades
