I wonder how these guys will adjust to going to short putters. I was cheering for hearn, but I sure have a hard time rooting for a long putter guy. I guess he may only have 5 months left to win one, since I assume these guys will kinda suck for a while.

Henderson making a run at the US Open. If she can post maybe -5 it could make the others nervous!

It's a young person's game. The US Open Champ is 21 and the US Women's Open Champ is 20

In Calgary (Shaw), does anyone know what channel and time coverage starts for The Open. Can't seem to find it until about 2 in the afternoon. By that time the first round will be almost over. Thanks in advance.

Leaderboard looking pretty similar to US open right now. Day, Speith, and Johnson.
Johnson has to be one of the best drivers of the golf ball in this generation. So long and straight.

Wow, the road hole basically playing like a difficult par 5 right now. The second shots are considerably longer than the tee shots because of the wind, and even the 3rd shot pitch/chips just cant get close to the hole.
Its almost as if we see Augusta like scoring in the morning groups and US Open scoring in the afternoon. And it looks like it is the morning group tomorrow that is getting the rougher weather. With the drastic difference in the weather through out the day, I think the field is just too big.

Dustin Johnson now through 27 holes without a bogey this week. As the course softens more with the rain his distance gives him an even bigger advantage. Pretty impressive that he's already put the US Open disaster behind him and is playing top level golf again. Overall the course is very accessible and we might see a major record score this weekend.

Wind has now made the course unplayable at the moment so they won't even get to finish the tournament this weekend. Monday finish in store and at this rate Tiger Woods might actually get to say he played Sunday at the Open Championship if they can't get out today.

Despite the weather and course condition, St Andrews is already a million times better than the Chambers Bay disaster.
God the US Open was horrible.

I'm loving watching the weather mess with the golfers. Combine that with Chambers Bay last month and this has been an entertaining stretch of majors. Sure I wouldn't want it every major, but I'm just a viewer and have enjoyed the switch up.

Course couldn't be playing any easier right now, with 73 (+1) the highest score of the day. Currently 21 players within 3 shots of the lead so this is a wide open tournament if Dustin doesn't take advantage of the conditions.

I love that there is such a large number of guys currently in contention to win The Open. Spieth is applying a lot of pressure right now. Great golf to watch.

Agreed.
13 guys in the lead or within 1 shot. Don't ever remember anything like it actually. Would be even more awesome if it was the final round.

The top 3 at the US Open are the current leaders in Spieth, Oosthuizen and Johnson, along with Schwartzel. Gotta think this comes down to Spieth and Oosthuizen, but what a leaderboard with two amateurs only one shot back right now. Dustin has to feel like he's +3 today with the course as is.
