1. I really wish awful gifs wouldn't get deleted. I come in late, miss out, and just read about a bunch of nightmare inducing boner-makers

2. I thought Granlund and Ferland were fantastic. Absolute garbage that Ferland got hurt, hopefully it's not too bad. Both looked like they belonged and out shined most of the bottom 6 by a mile. Just great.

3. I had a number 3 but I don't remember what it was, and it seems weird to number only two points, doesn't it? I mean, whatever man.

Johnny Gaudreau is on the verge of becoming a star. We're watching something special.

If Gaudreau doesn't improve at all over the rest of his career, and just plays as he has been since his game in the press box, he'll already have exceeded my generally modest expectations for him.

He's a little like a video game.

I've been told sitting a young player in the press box is bad coaching and detrimental to their development.

Can someone confirm?

Every situation with every player is exactly the same.

The black guy always dies first in horror movies so keep an eye on him.

And yet if they beat Toronto after absolutely dominating them last year or lose to Chicago in regulation after being dominated the record is the same. This team is better than the sum of its parts.

It is annoying when people leave early. There was a lot of empty seats I thought but when the flames would pressure for a while the building went wild and everyone gave a standing o at the end.

The Oilers have been padding their own "sellout streak" for a long time as well. That streak for them ended in 2010, despite playing in a building 2,500 seats smaller than the Saddledome.

If it wasn't for their upcoming new arena, season ticket holders would have long abandoned that sinking ship and you'd be regularly seeing 14,000 a night there.

Flames won the game and instead of reading what CP people thought about the game you read complaints.

Anyways it was a good game and Nashville seems to be dominating the game but less shot. I was impressed about the call-ups Granlund and Ferland. These two are NHL ready for sure. I feel bad for Ferland because he was playing well tonight then had to leave because of Volchenko's elbow to Ferland's head. I hope he gets suspended for it so he'll learn. If the NHL is really trying to get rid of head injuries, players shouldn't get away with it. I can't believe he didn't get a penalty for it.

Johnnie Gaudreau : All I can say is WOW!! This kid is amazing. I missed his dipsy doodle on Volchenkov but I've seen the replay so many times. He was a firebug all night. I sure hope people that complained about the Flames being too small (after the lost) paid attention.

Gaudreau-Granlund-Hudler line on the third period was so much fun to watch. I love it when Gaudreau stole the puck from Rinne's glove and quickly pass the puck to Granlund then to Hudler for a goal. Nashville did not have the answer on that line.

Safe to say Gaudreau is the most popular Flames player at the moment? Every time he touches the puck, the whole dome buzzes.

Re sellouts: I'm proud we were still selling out 5yrs after our last playoff game. For the record, Vancouver sellout is 18400. We are still above that, and they were in the finals in 2011... #bandwagon

Re Ferland: He played really well. Looked like he belonged. Unfortunate that he was put out by a dirty hit. Almost identical to what burrows was suspended for 3 games for. Bad break!

Re Hartley: if he isn't extended I would be stunned. And disappointed. Does Treliving think he can lure a certain Phoenix coach over? Sorry. Didn't mean to. This isn't TEE-DOT! Also: he plays kids in a position to succeed, and keeps on talking about playing in JUNE! I think he believes it too. He's a KEEPER!

Re Monahan: Fentastic. On par with last year points and goals wise. Maybe ahead. But HE IS THE NUMBER ONE CENTER NOW. And he's not out of place. Also seems to have figured out the powerplay!

Re BRODANO: Yes. It's a thing now! #brodano! Can they share a Norris? Unfortunately neither will win if both are this good (unless they are split up). Please god never let them be split up!

Re Hiller: Looked human tonight. Not bad, just average. I'm thinking the alternate starts are back on. Again, not bad, but not great.

Re Gaudreau: LEGEND-wait for it-ARY. Can't wait for it! So slick! So smooth! So FRESH and SO CLEAN CLEAN!

Something tells me that Johnny has a permanent fixture on the Molson Cup for years to come...

I agree I'm very positive after this game, but truly this is based on this whole seasons view.

I know there are some hard times to come, but we just gave a team their 2nd regulation loss, and the 2nd of Their 5 losses this season. And if I'm not mistaken, the Flames did defeat both the Hawks and Kings in the season series last year. This team comes to play! Speaks to Hartley more than anything!

Not a chance he doesn't get an extension. That's almost pube bet territory.
