Yet he is becoming a ghost? I'm not meaning to single you out, but this whole Chicken Little mentality is getting out of hand. Gaudreau is on the verge of busting after 4 games in his first pro season. Monahan is having the dreaded sophomore slump. Baertschi should be traded while he has value but apparently has attitude problems...
I'm just at a loss sometimes. Things have never looked better for our team than they do right now. Things are only going to get better for our team. But the world is ending because of 4 games.

I really thought Monahan played well last night- slow start from a sick kid- he'll be back to superstar mode in no time

About Monahan, he hasn't scored yet but if you watch him play he's so much better than last year. Stronger on the puck, making smarter plays, coming back and being sound defensively. I'm not worried at all about him personally. The way he's playing, it won't be long before he's being relied upon in every situation.

Rule 57 – Tripping
The rule relating to "Tripping" will be revised to specifically provide that a two minute minor penalty will be assessed when a defending player "dives" and trips an attacking player with his body/arm/shoulder, regardless of whether the defending player is able to make initial contact with the puck.
But, in situations where a penalty shot might otherwise be appropriate, if the defending player "dives" and touches the puck first (before the trip), no penalty shot will be awarded. (In such cases, the resulting penalty will be limited to a two-minute minor penalty for tripping.)

Man, if only the team would work even half as hard to get the puck to Johnny as they do to get it to Gio. Seems like game plan A every time they gain the offensive zone.

This Gaudreau line continues to use the Edmonton Oiler swarm defence.

Flames are doing what they can to stay in this. Can't fault them.

Baertschi doesn't have attitude problems. He simply is trying to crack the line up as a Top 6 LW where the Flames have lots of depth. If he is a RW he is playing right now instead of Setoguchi.

This is the first regular season game where Hiller has looked good/comfortable in my opinion.
