One thing mentioned in the Verge review is something I've thought about. I can see our clothes coming with bigger pockets to accommodate larger phones. I wonder if the garment industry is on this.
Also I hope this preorder isn't a #### show like with previous Nexus phones. Please please please let us preorder even if they're out of stock. I don't mind queueing to get a device. I've done it with the iPhone and it's not a big deal.

I've watched most of the reviews. sticking point is battery life. Not good for the big brick so far. I'll stick to getting the Z3. I was close on deciding on this one but size + mediccore battery life is a deal breaker.
I don't think it'll be that bad. My OnePlus One had a 3100mah battery (this has 3200) and it lasted me all day and then some.
But then again, that was just a regular display. This is a super amoled, or however it's spelled, display.
But, for me, I carry around portable power...so I always have some juice.
I think it is moreso that the display is 2k as opposed to 1080p. Either way, quite surprised that most reviews are stating that it has average battery life. If you are going to have such a huge phone it has to have top notch battery life.

Especially with the Note series setting the standard. The Note 4 has a similar 1440p display yet stills improves on its predecessor's battery life.

For the price point, it's pretty bad. You can go and get the Z3 with incredible battery life for 100 dollars less and have better speakers, waterproofing, camera etc etc.. 6 inches is also a little too much. I was concerned a bit about the 5.5 on the 1p1 as well. Just a bunch a variables for me that made my decision easy as to which device I would go with next.
My post earlier was kind of to point out the reviews that affirmed my concerns. And they're consistent. I don't know what software updates can correct such battery drainage but 12 hours of medium usage doesn't suit my needs. I'm always on the move during the day and stopping to charge my phone really is not something I'd like to get into the routine of doing.
