"nearly" NSFW.
How many pictures in the thread were the women wearing more than underwear/bikinis? There are a whole lot of places of employment that would look down on ogling women in underwear/bikinis on company time.

Depends where you work, most places I've worked having that thread up most pages would (rightly) earn one a trip to HR.

Are pics with women in underwear/bikinis your definition of NSFW?
No wonder the thread was shut down...
So should I head straight to HR with all the vacation photos sitting on everyones desk?

If you can't see the difference between random linked pictures of scantily clad women purely as ogling material and family vacation pictures put up for sentimental reasons, clearly you're purposefully trying to miss the point.

The thread should have continued without commentaries. Just photos/gifs.

First they came for our gay jokes but I said nothing,
Then they came for our girlie pics and I said nothing
Then they came for my exclusionist sexist objectifying language
And the board is now a more inclusive place that will only lead to richer discussion as other social groups and flames fans gradually feel more welcome to contribute.

I know the difference and I also know what Not Safe For Work means.
I guarantee you HR will be challenged with the vacation photos argument everytime.
FYI, yes I work in an office downtown and my Female manager has a swimsuit photo of herself and her friends (guys and girls) on her desk too

But to those whining that we don't have a safe space to objectify women anymore please continue to avoid any shred of reflection, understanding, decency, and empathy on the matter.

I don't know if their is a consistent or common definition of NSFW. No way I would bring up that thread at my workplace and I work for a pretty hip, casual business.

And we considered those options, and discussed them at length. This was not a decision made lightly. For me, the more I thought about the thread and its existence on CP, the more I didn't like what it said about us as a site, community and moderation team.

I still remember the first time I looked under a bathroom sink out at a plant when I first started in O&G. Looking for paper towel, definitely not what I found. But yeah, NSFW definitely has different definitions depending on where you are.

I can't believe that no one has posted a picture of a scantily clad lady in this thread yet. Whatever happened to civil disobedience?
Gandhi would be disappointed.

Honestly, i post this in all sincerity because an entire thread was removed for "inappropriate" pictures but shouldn't the mods make Eastern Girl change her avatar?
It is of a bare chested male and some may find it offensive and objectifing?.......im just saying but i feel like i have a point here.

Imagine if we channeled these feelings of injustice and anger for taking away our girlie pics into actual worthy social causes, such as, oh I don't know, ending violence against women or something like that...

Yeah, that's the same...
Besides, say what you want about 'smugness' meh, it's all in how you see it. But there's no ANGER directed at these people. You really feel these people are being persecuted?
