Kobe is 4-4 right now, he will shoot the Lakers out of the game in the 2nd half and the Raptors should win with ease. No way he continues to let Boozer and Hill take so many more shots than him no matter how well it is working for the Lakers.

Another really frustrating game. I like Lou Williams but he's taken some really really selfish shots tonight from the 3PT line. Graivis seems to have a fire under him today so I want to see more.

Here comes Kobe to submarine the Lakers. Lakers first half up 9 with Hill and Boozer combining for 20 shots and Kobe a solid 4-4. Now Kobe is 2-8 in the 2nd half with Hill and Boozer having 3 shots between them in the 2nd half and they are down by 3.

Kobe's selfishness and awful shot attempts are comical at this point.

Kobe vs Lowry - who can shoot and miss the most.

Unless they lose to the Sixers this will certainly be the worst loss of the year. Lakers are pathetic, this is a really bad loss.

Pretty brutal game. Couldn't come up with a stop all game long. Going to be a long stretch without DD if they don't intend to play solid D.

Ya they have to start playing better on D. Can't keep giving up such a high shooting percentage.

Kyle needs to realize he wasn't alone out there, pass the freakin ball. Brutal shot selection by him.

^ Quite a few players playing that game tonight. Jonas seems to be the only one who didn't play selfish tonight. Maybe it's the guys wanting the spotlight in LA but I felt there was way too much of that game. I also noticed these past couple games that the quick passes around the horn aren't happening. The Raps are getting caught up in the fast break game that Phoenix keeps playing. It's not their game. Take the fast breaks when the other team is caught off guard - not everytime when it's an even match up. I couldn't stand watching these past two games. Tonight they should hang their head in shame.

I like it when the Raptors distribute the ball. Lately though I've seen Williams forced a shot from 3-pointer, Vasquez also. With DD gone for a few games due to injury, it is time for some players to step up but not waste so many shots.

Glad I missed the LA game, but just watching the ticker was frustrating. Was it brought up on the broadcast that the Raptors were closing in on the record of points allowed in a single overtime (26)?

I continue to think that DeRozan being out for a while can be a positive for this team as it will cause other guys to step up and diversify their roles.

Lowry drops 39 in Utah. Raps win back to back in 2 nights to shake off the Lakers debacle.

Yeah, Raps looked solid tonight, though Utah doesn't look good.

If you told me going in that we'd go 2-3 on this swing without DeRozan in the lineup, I'd be okay with that. It looks like the defense is still struggling without DeRozan (strangely, since he hardly seems like the heart of the defense). My favorite play tonight was Lowry taking a charge from Kanter while up by like 12 points in the 4th. Dude just never lets up.

So the NBA season is almost at the 1/4 point - and the Raptors are 3-4 games ahead of the other top teams in the East. I think returning to the playoffs this season was a forgone conclusion - but is this team for real? Are they legit contenders to win the East and go deep (3 rounds or more) into the playoffs?

I really don't know. While they've played through adverse situations showing resilience, I'm still quite skeptical of if they have that clutch player who can hit that last possession big shot when they need it. There aren't may of those players out there, but they need that big game player I think. Because of this, I see them right now past the first round, a good chance passing the second, but I don't think they'd be able to pull off a conference final.
