4th liners on 3 year deals are not good contracts.

Uhm... well it's a 3-year $1.25 million AAV deal for a 4th line player who will give you a good, regular shift and punish the opposition.

The Flames have $30 million in cap room.

That's about all I have to say.

You clearly don't watch enough Hawks hockey.

Bollig is a legitimate NHL player.

Considering they were over the cap and looking to re-sign Toews and Kane to huge deals is that a surprise?

Are you ever happy about anything? He can play. Most likely on the Flames 2nd and 3rd lines next season quite frankly.

Good pick up, better then having our tiny, rookie line up being brutalized for 82 games. Plus he's got decent speed and hands for a tough guy.

Stan Bowman came into an amazing situation as GM but you have to give the guy credit. The Blackhawks are rich and keep getting richer

I don't know how tough Bouma is. He trains and such but can probably use some fighting lessons from his buddy Lucic.

Another big guy. I guess Flames won't be re-signing Kevin Westgarth this season. At least Bollig can skate and play. He'll probably be playing in 3rd line and will sometime play in the top line when the other team starts going after our top player.

I think a lot of people are going to be eating their words around here once the season gets underway. The Hawks didn't give him a four year deal and play him every game on a cup contending roster by accident. Bollig is a solid player, probably closer to Chris Simon than the ridiculous PL3 comparison.

We get it you don't like this trade.....
I got no problem with term or the player, but don't like the price either.

He is trying to get people to understand how horible this trade is....when there is quite simply no way for it to be that way no matter how it is spun.

Its fun to watch.

Yeah, and they still have to clear more just to get under the cap for 2015/16 season.

Check what Blackhawks pundits are saying: they feel they basically stole a 3rd rnd pick from Flames; "Bollig completely replaceable"

This tweet might say it all:

"Bollig finally figured out he helps the team more lying down on the ice than while being on his skates."

My god, do you ever stop complaining? You act like you know absolutely everything. The Hawks are a team in a situation where they need cap space. Of course the fans are glad they got rid of a contract. For the Flames this contract is a non-issue. We have no idea how the third round pick is going to turn out. You should maybe try to look for some positives instead of being always so damn negative.

PL3 has zero hockey sense. BB has some decent hands and can make plays.
