Just wait till John Helm gets bored or something really ludicrous happens at an opening ceremonies. They should know better than to assign opening ceremonies to John Helm.

Good Lord opening ceremonies are grim. I cant imagine what the pitch is going to be like after this atrocity.

The USA 94 opening ceremonies were awesome. Diana Ross missed a penalty.

Shouldn't that be I was alive the only time the England won? It's like being alive the last time the Leafs won.

Ricky Martin was 1998

I'm expecting Brazil to put up one of the all-time dominating performances. They did steamroll Spain 4-0 in the Federations Cup final last year, and they have the most complete squad IMO. Germany is missing a striker and Spains key players are getting up there in age. I don't see Netherlands being any better than they've usually been, and the other top squads are really strong.

I think Belgium is overrated. Greece could do surprisingly well. They have a great defense again. Not championship quality, but still nasty.

I've read that Ribery is injured. If he's gone for any length of time, I don't see France going anywhere.

Russia would be my pick for dark horse. They did win their conference over Portugal.

Still, I think it's going to be either Brazil or Spain. Germany has a good squad, but not good enough to win without a striker.

Italy is one of those countries you can never count out. They just win. A lot.

All i am going to say about this is both Robben and Luis Suarez both played for the same club team in Holland (FC Groningen) before going on to bigger clubs.
