So he couldn't crack the Leafs lineup two years ago when he was 23, but is expected to do good-to-great things for us?
Sometimes getting older can be a good thing.
Read his coach's opinion, his current coach has even said that he used to be an unbridled lunatic and has recently matured.
He sounds driven and focused. I'm really looking forward to having him here. Maybe he and Big 'Ern are going to become the "Batshart-Crazy Bash-Brothers."

Well, according to people who have seen him play in Germany his skating has improved quite a bit over that time span. By all accounts he still isn't a speedster by any means, but it's no longer a liability. That alone could account for a dramatic difference in his effectiveness.

The fact that he's a hard hitter, strong on the boards, super aggressive, crashes the net, but isn't super fast, all this amounts to probably being better on NHL ice than international.
On top of this his attitude, overall everything has improved. Sounds like a good gamble. Cervenka would of been good if he didn't wuss out.
Question: Does signing David Wolf address any type of concerns that some posters have that we may potentially end up with Leon Draisaitl in the draft? Or does this move have nothing to do with that? Parallel story a la Gio? Burke making use of discarded "scraps" from Toronto that they've totally been overlooking? Great attitude/culture fit?
I know it's an exciting move, but beyond acquiring a player, I was wondering what others might think about this move in the grand scheme of things.

not sure how it does have anything to do with potentially drafting Draisaitl. From what I can see, they have never played together and Draisaitl has spent 2 years in NA already. Reading anything into it because they happen to share the same nationality makes little sense IMO

Just curious as to whether or not people think that Wolf has a future up in the NHL? His stats in Adirondack look alright, but that probably doesn't tell enough of the story. Do we expect him to push for a 3rd/4th line spot next year?
