My favorite view of the Karyia hit and then goal was in the HNIC playoff opening monatage from last year. They show it one after the other. Just awesome. Skip to 1:10, for Karyia, but the whole thing is awesome.
They should have used the other goal call but great montage.
Oh yeah. One of the greatest moment in NHL history, and what a goal call.
I remember watching that game live and thinking I literally just watched a player die on live TV. Then the fog on his visor....then he scored. Freaking crazy.
The world where I'm not counting the seconds on a slow motion replay, sweetie.
Lol ....still at least 2 strides after he gets rid of the puck. Enough time to realize he is no longer a threat....sweetie.
And as for the guy calling out new poster. We have all been here long enough to know MMF is a huge troll. The guy gets off on pissing people off...and its laughable. That hit was dirty no matter what era of hockey it was played in.
Honestly CP needs to figure some crap out.....I'm surprised that we get any new members.
I think he'll be in the AHL. He's fast, good with the puck and smart but all an opponent has to do is lean on him and he's down. God help him when the big guys start knocking him around. He looks whizzy, too bad he isn't bigger. Only time will tell.
That Kariya bit where he returned to score was amazing. For me, it's a prime example of what makes Canadians stand apart. That was all heart. It's also another example showing that hockey is one of the toughest sports in existence. Not many other sports where you'd see an athlete continue after something like that. It's up there with Ryan Smyth (sans the Oiler stink) picking up his own teeth and not missing a shift.
As for Johnny Hockey, he is good.
I see some similarities in style between he and Kariya. If he comes anywhere near that caliber of player we'll be extremely fortunate.

Im not sure if the Flames have ever had a player with this level of talent before. Certainly has been a while anyway.
He could be that one game breaker every team so badly needs. As good as the Hawks are as a team, look at what Kane has done for them. How many times does he make that play or bury that puck to win huge games. I think Gaudreau has that kind of game changing potential.
