That kid completely channeled Jack Nicolson's joker from Batman. Right down to the lidded dead eyes. I mean the temptation would be to use the maniac Heath Ledger joker, who was as he said a agent of anarchy. But this joker was the cold methodical ruthless joker. He channeled the smile, the voice and the eyes.

Outstanding episode with the exception of Barbara who looks hot naked but can't act if her life depended on it.

The biggest thing is that the partnership between Bullock and Jim has really evolved as the acters have gotten more at ease with each other, the deadpan humor of those two make it great.

Or something like that.
That's what I loved about Heath Ledgers joker with the line "Do you want to know how I get these scars".

Well those scars go far deeper then the physical and would be an amazing story.

I really don't like the idea that they floated where the Joker was a failed comedian for example.

To me I always thought that the Joker was maybe a manic psychology student who picked his guise because of so many people having a clown phobia.

Everything that he does seems to almost be a measured experiment in how far he can push society before it breaks.

I would love to see the true origins of Joker, but I would hate to see it to.

I quit watching after the balloon man episode. But decided to check out the scene with Gordon interrogating the Joker. Hot damn if that performance didn't make me think twice about watching it again.

I loathe that they've introduced the Joker. We aren't supposed to know any of his back story. None.

Bah.

Regardless, it was really well done. I loved the parallel that Batman's best friend and worst enemy came from the same place (the Circus).

I also thought it was funny that the couple said they'd name their child after Jim Gordon, and assuming their child is Robin, they named him Dick.

I like the show for the most part, but it seems that for every riveting scene there is another that is just kind of weird and going nowhere-like most of Barbara's scenes.

Well didn't technically they name him Richard "Dick" Grayson? I tried to look up the exact name origins, and couldn't find if the parents named him Richard or Dick when he was born.

I still don't quite like the show and I've watched nearly every episode. My complaints are still generally the same. There are a coupe solid performances and the production values are high, but there are so many obvious issues that continue to drag the show down.

For my money The Flash is the better show, but mostly because of the fantastic rogues gallery, and that they don't need to disguise the show as anything other than itself.

Just read some Gotham Central comic books and the stories are much better... Which saddened me that Gotham already had a very well done storyline to follow but didn't. Still on the DC bandwagon, but disheartened after seeing it done better in comic form.

That whole episode was one jaw drop after another and very well done, and we finally saw the true Riddler.

ya, I'm loving the riddler. I think they've done a great job with the all the gang bosses and penguin is amazing in it too. The stereo remote thing was really cool, I didn't think I'd like this show as much as I do.
