I actually heard Bob Cole's heart break when he realized the series wasn't over and he has to call at least another game of this horsecrap hockey.

Could this series be the end for Cole?
I believe in the next round CBC gets one series and TSN gets the other, so Hughson should call the CBC series, then the Finals. With Rogers taking over next year, and the fact that he's over 80, I could see him deciding to retire.

meh.
I think this year's Flames could have beaten the Rangers in a 7 game series.

I think the Rangers plays like and looks like a beat up, tired team. If the Pens played the Flyers in the first round, they would've been ousted. This series shows why Nash will never win a cup in his career.

Deciding? As much of a legend as he is, I'd imagine the decision will likely be made for him. It's just getting out of hand now.

Cole was stumbling on the name of the Penguins arena. You could sense that Galley and Millen wanted to jump in.

Would BJs/Flyers or BJs-Rangers have been better?

I gotta agree, this is slow and tedious. Wake me up when this series is over, who cares who wins. The Bhawks-Wild series is way better. Sure game 3 was lame for 2 periods but it was more exciting than this.

The sad thing is that the Rangers will have a waiting list of people waiting to play for them, not because the team is a contender, but because they simply want the NY star treatment. I can't wait for them to wallow in mediocrity for a decade.

CBC should get Cole to call the last couple games of the finals if it is his last year. They probably won't though.

Gretzky played great there. Last 3 seasons of 97, 90 and 62 points. Also including his spectacular 20pts all the way to the ECF in his last season in the playoffs. In fact him and Jagr are probably the only stars who consistently produced during their time that I can think of after going there.

by his standards, 9 goals is nothing to write home about...62 points is okay but his career high is 215 so

Considering that St. Louis's mother just died recently after a lengthy illness, I will cut him a bit of slack for his subpar (by his standards) performance during the playoffs. I don't see how something like that wouldn't weigh heavy on his mind and heart.
