Davis and White have beaten Virtue and Moir at almost every event they've both been in for the past two years. Unless they have a magically terrible skate, they'll probably be quite deserving of gold.

Yeah, I understand. Just being a but of a homer I guess.

Davis/White have been first in every event they've participated in since the 2012 world championships.

Remove one's Canada hat and yes, it was better.
When you say "that much" we're still only talking about 2.5 points.
I think D/W FinnStep was better and judges seem to agree.
As usual I though V/M had better choreography but consistently that has gone to D/W.

Remember that Ice Dance is more than just: Twizzles and not miss-stepping, which is what a lot of people seem to believe.

Here are the judges scores.

V/M already start with a point in the hole on base value.

It's Helen Upperton. Canadian sliding great and Olympic Silver medalist.

Cross Country started 5 hours earlier in the day. When night fell a huge fog rolled onto the course which would make shooting impossible.

I'm a little late to this as I just got around to watching the Canada-China game (one of the best I've seen).

I'm not sure that if Murdoch wins he's guaranteed third - I think if Ulsrud also wins there is a three way tie for third at 6-3 with each team having beaten one of the others (Ulsrud beat Murdoch, Liu beat Ulsrud, Murdoch will have beaten Liu). According to the WCF rules the next tiebreaker would be based on the draw to the button results for each game during the competition (the rock used to determine hammer in the first end) with the worst result being thrown out and the rest averaged. I have no idea if that is available anywhere online.

If China wins then it's easier - Canada vs China and Sweden vs Norway (if Norway wins their game) or Sweden vs GBR (if Norway loses and GBR beats them in a tiebreaker).

I don't have the distances but China's had hammer 7 times, GB 5 times and Norway 4

http://results.worldcurling.org/Cham...ip.aspx?id=381
click on statistics then Last Stone in First End

If China wins the draw to the button against GB, that alone might guarantee them 3rd place even if they lose. They must know. That game could be ruined before it starts hehe.
