I have seen every one of his pro games. He most certainly does not deserve a shot in the NHL yet. He needs more than a hot streak for a couple/few weeks to deserve it. Plus with his season ending injury he especially needs AHL time to start next year.
Bumping this thread out because I never really got a solid understanding of what was going on with this. Was this ever confirmed or has it fallen off the radar and maybe he was being scouted?

The rumours are pretty strong, but nothing can be officially announced until his contract ends in Germany.

Nothing can be confirmed as the NHL has rules preventing teams from signing Euro players while their teams are still playing.
All that was reported by German newspapers was Wolf had an agreement with the Flames to sign after his season is over.
I sure hope Wolf signs and dominates. Imagine all the terrible pun titles NHL.com would have.
Oh god, I am not creative at all but one that spring to mind is "The Wolf of Hall Street" after he absolutely lays out Hall in a BOA. I hope this happens because I agree, there could be so many terrible (fantastic) puns in there.
