You are so quick to jump off a player's bandwagon, it took Backlund so many years and he's finally showing promise, not all players light the world on fire their first few years. Sven will be fine and I hope you are ready to eat crow when he is finally comes through

13–17–6 GF: 90 GA: 109
3–9–1 GF: 20 GA: 44
4–1–0 GF: 18 GA: 14.

The Flames' record with Kris Russell in, then out, then back in the lineup.

We can't read too much into it, but he sure does appear to be making a very positive difference

I was at the Dome last night and it was a great game. The guys that stood out for me were Backlund, Gio and Brodie. They were all over the ice and were making things happen all game. Ramo had a nice series of saves in the second period and Monahan had another good game.

I've heard both Stajan and Gelinas talk in the last couple days about how the Flames have made a bigger effort to activate their D in the last few weeks, and how that's led to a little more success. Obviously a much easier task with Russell in the lineup to compliment Brodie and Giordano as guys who can jump in and still get back.

Worst post of the night.

Eat crow? I've said numerous times Sven will be fine. He just needs to mature a bit. He's still a kid and I sure didn't write him off.

I was just coming in here to ask what the Flames record is since Russel came back.

But now I don't need to post to ask that.

So I'm going to post to say thanks.

Lines at practice today:

Pat Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg38 secs

#Flames lines at practice: Hudler-Backlund-Stempniak; Cammalleri-Monahan-Colborne; Bouma-Stajan-Jones; Westgarth-Street-McGrattan

Aaron Vickers@AAVickers44 secs

Looks like Byron and Galiardi could be odd guys out based on first rushes.

Interesting, I thought I heard yesterday that Colborne would be going back to center once Cammalleri was back, I guess they have really liked him on Monohan's wing.

Those two have had great chemistry as of late; if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'd really like to see Byron back though.

I thought the Flames played well last night (Although I am not sure whether it was so much a product of the Flames playing well, San Jose playing horribly, or a bit of both). Ramo did a great job, but I don't recall him having to make too many remarkable saves. (San Jose's goal was not his fault at all, it was most definitely confusion and/or the players were exhausted at the end of that shift.)

I can't be the only one to notice the lack of hustle back to the bench when the Flames were changing on the fly, and as great as they played, the two biggest culprits I noticed all night were Giordano and Brodie.

I am still happy with the result, as it let me rub it in to my cousin, who brought me and my son to the game, because he was cheering for San Jose.

If I remember correctly, that goal was a squeaker and no one was sure it was in until a few seconds later. Monahan jumped the gun.

Also, it was ridiculous, come on.
