Melvin Gordon just broke LaDainian Tomlinson's single game rushing record in Madison. 408 yards and a quarter of football to go.

Woo Pig Sooie! Arkansas snapped a 17 game losing streak against the SEC, beating LSU 17-0, which LSU happened to be ranked #17.

I know they have to because technically they are undefeated, although needed the bogus call against ND to get there, but it would be nice if FSU were not in the top 4 and play-off at the end of the year. They do not look like a top 4 team and should get beat easily by anyone in the top 10 not named Ohio State.

Yeah, with Clemson and ND both losing this week, FSU now will not have a win over a top 25 team, and they probably need the stars to align (Georgia Tech to beat Georgia, plus Duke losing one remaining game) to face a top 25 team in the ACC championship. No way their strength of schedule should put them ahead of either Baylor or TCU.
I'd rank them Alabama, Oregon, Mississippi State, TCU, Baylor, right now.

I'd put it:
Alabama, Oregon, OSU, Miss State or FSU
Nobody is talking about OSU but just from the eye test they look as good as anyone. I can't believe for a second FSU would be undefeated if they were in a real conference, however they are an undefeated in a power 5, so its hard to consider where to put them.

And Melvin Gordon's single game rushing record lasts less than a week. Oklahoma true freshman Samaje Perine has 427 yards with 13 minutes to go in the 4th quarter against Kansas today.

Gotta think that a last second FG victory, at home, over a really mediocre BC team, might give the committee reason to drop FSU to 4th, assuming Mississippi State takes care of business.

They've been getting comeback wins over mediocre teams all year and it hasn't seemed to drop them yet.

They are undefeated and in 3rd place. I'd say it has dropped them. I don't know what is so impressive about Miss state's resume though. A victory over a 3 loss team is their best win and there are Texas high school football teams with tougher schedules than Miss state's out of conference schedule.
At least FSU tried to schedule a tough slate with games against Florida, ND and OK state that probably looked to be tough when they made the schedule.

Florida is always on their schedule..
ND will be with ND being sort of in the ACC
Oklahoma I will give them credit for.
with that being said, if Muschamp didn't coach scared UF would've beat them today.

College games are usually 4 hours. The clock stops more, more scoring and it's a 30 minute halftime with bands playing.

Nobody is forcing Florida and FSU to play each other.
It is going to be pretty tough justifying why a one loss sec team should be ahead if a zero loss acc team after acc teams went 4-0 against the sec.
