McGrattan got pooped pretty good by Sestito, and his left shoulder of his jersey was completely covered in blood. They had to bring him a new one from the dressing room, but both guys in that tilt were good with each other throughout the whole time. There was a mutual agreement to start a fight, they stopped when they went down, tapped each other on the head, and chatted during their 10 minute misconducts.
The Kassian punches on Bouma were gutless. Burrows was a punk the entire game. There was so much crap between whistles and during the game that define why people hate him.

Best line of the Game Thread was the comment that this was Butler's best game as a Flame.
(not sure who said it, but deserves mention).

Did we see the same fight? McGrattan used Sestito as a punching bag, again.

Can't believe tonight of all nights is the one game my PVR decides not to record even though it was set.

Another benefit for tonight is that once word got out on the theatrics, I'm betting a lot more people tuned in.
Stempniak was great tonight.
Backlund was excellent
Stajan had one of his better games
Butler with one of his better efforts
OBrien with a strong game
Galliardi looking engaged
Hudler looking unreal at times
Bouma with one of his best ever
The point is that many of the guys we would look to trade down the stretch played well and stepped up in a high emotion game, not unlike what we would see in a playoff series. This should have a positive influence on their trade value, even incrementally.

Mcgrattan uses quick little jabs with his hand that holds the jersey that every opponent I've seen him face in his Flames jersey has absolutely no answer to. Mcgrattan is the HW champ because he learned that skill that there has been zero counter for, before the fight is even really started Mcgrattan's landed 4 or 5 punches his opponent thought wouldn't hurt but hurt a lot and he's pretty much already won the fight every time. I like the look on their face when go from that doesn't hurt to #### I gotta get out of this that really sucks.

We are not burning down our city like you guys did in: 2011, 1994, 1982, those two riots after Lions losses in the 60's and even after a Rolling Stones concert in the "one love" 70's?

Loved the line brawl. Was watching in a bar, so it was tough to tell what was going on with no audio.
Gio's flop was atrocious and literally embarrassing since I was watching with canucks fans. Absolutely disgusting and I'm surprised no one has brought it up in this thread. Bertuzzied obviously hasn't made a sock-puppet account yet, or we'd be hearing all about it.

Flames fall 3-2 in SO to Burney McRIOTville, but I'm still proud of the effort.
All that game was missing was an angry Jarome. That would have been sweet. First time I really missed him this season.

I don't know if that was a flop by Gio. I am not an NHL-level skater, but if I lost my balance I would grab whatever is closest to me by instinct, eg Kassian's stick.

My comment is about how a team playing poorly and getting thumped soundly in its recent road trip is most likely going to break its slump in ugly fashion. What are you going on about?

I like how one of the worst teams in the league has the scariest guy. Everyone's good at something.
