They need to come up with a better system to quantify tagged contracts with. Too many hybrid players.

Schawrtz hired as def coordinator in Buffalo. Rams fire overwhelmed def coor. Tim Walton and (re)hire Greg "Bounty" Williams. This being prop season, some book ought to put up a prop over which defense has more unsportsmanlike penalties, Rams or Bills.

I think we all know how this one plays out. The taxpayers of St. Louis get to pay for a new stadium or they lose their team. I hope they don't lose their team, but I also don't wanna see them subsidizng a billionaire either. But this is what the NFL excels at, exploiting situations to their advantage.

The threat of an open market in LA has got how many new stadiums built/refurbished on the the tax payers dime? It's worth it to these owners to not be in that market so they can use it as leverage to get whatever the hell they please everywhere else.

Nah, I think San Diego and Oakland are inline for better stadiums next. Even better in state, so you can play that card.

Ugh, here we go. Closer and closer to walking.

Quote:
Prosecutors will not call Carlos Ortiz to testify against Aaron Hernandez at trial because they believe Ortiz is "completely unreliable," according to new documents filed Friday in superior court.

Ortiz, 27, also made a "proffer" — an offer made prior to the start of formal negotiations — during a meeting with prosecutors, according to a Dec. 16 letter that Hernandez's lawyers sent to First Assistant District Attorney William McCauley, one of the lead prosecutors in the Hernandez murder case.

For months, Ortiz, a codefendant charged with accessory to murder after the fact, was thought to be a key prosecution witness against Hernandez, 24, the former Patriots star tight end who is charged with the June 17, 2013, murder of Odin Lloyd in the North Attleborough Industrial Park.

When he was first arrested last summer in his hometown of Bristol, Conn., Ortiz told police that Hernandez and Ernest Wallace, 44, were outside their vehicle in the industrial park when Lloyd was shot five times with a .45-caliber handgun. Ortiz said he was sleeping, heard a gunshot and then saw Wallace and Hernandez return to the vehicle.

Ortiz also recounted conversations between Hernandez and Lloyd in the vehicle, told police that he saw Hernandez carrying a handgun and made apparent references to Hernandez's alleged "flophouse" in Franklin, which "other football players used" and where investigators said they found evidence, including clothing and ammunition, according to court documents.

Those police reports fueled speculation that Ortiz would be the prosecution's star witness. But in recent months, it came to light that Ortiz had changed his story to say Hernandez was alone with Lloyd outside the vehicle.

I think that's a decent hire if they draft Manziel.

This would be enough of a reason for me to not want AJ McCarron on my team.

Who is the AFC favorite next year? DEN and KC will have a tougher schedule. NE will be healthier. CIN and IND will be more seasoned.

Well you can pretty much give the Colts and Patriots their Divisions today, so that gives those two a leg up. Injuries are the wild card though, every team you list had key players injured and one can argue it really hurt them. If the Patriots have Gronkowski and Wilfork, and a couple others do they play in the Superbowl? Would Denver have fared better with Von Miller and Ryan Clady? How bad did Cincy miss Geno Atkins, or Reggie Wayne in Indy? Even KC maybe does something if Charles, Avery, and Flowers don't leave that playoff game.

Not too often two teams picked as much as Seattle and Denver were end up in the Superbowl.

Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognitos alleged text message conversations has been released. Definitely puts a different perspective on things. And Jonathan Martin is a bitch who likely never steps foot into another NFL locker room.

Yeah its over for Jonathan Martin. No one in the NFL will give him another chance and now there is likely no lawsuit coming. He badly screwed himself on this one when all he could have done was walk away if he didn't want to play football anymore. Can't believe I now feel sorry for Richie Incognito, but there you go, that's how ####ed this situation is.

Everyone remember Jared Lorenzen? Really fat backup QB for the Giants (and others)? He's still playing...and he is still fat, maybe even fatter.
