I think it's more a case of 29 other GM's don't just want to assume Klesla with his current contract, and have to pay a fee to do so. If they could trade another contract than there might be some more interest. I think fans at times underestimate how much contracts impact trades or player acquisitions. If the player isn't viewed as much of an upgrade over what you have, no point in making the move unless you can move out the guy you plan to replace him with in the deal, or another deal.
