Fan 960 playing an interview with Steve Bozek. I remember growing up across the street from him and he would ride this crazy modified bicycle that was about 8 feet high.
My best memory of him playing was him scoring against Edmonton TWO men short! And that was during the heydays of the Battle of Alberta in the 80s.

I would agree with that except Kerr as much as people don't like him he stuck up for the Flames on the radio . This was at a time people were calling us a league joke during last year.He went on a huge rant defending them

He skated up because that's where he's supposed to be.
That's 100% Wideman.
Again, he just completely blows net front presence. There's absolutely no reason for him to be up that high.
If Backlund is covering that guy, he's completely out of position.

Kerr is alright with me...his heart is in the right place. These other clowns have no clue...don't even know where the flames drafted this year.
why would flames fans be upset that Iggy has scored his first goal?

It's not that simple. First rule is you cover the guy you're close to because you're not always in text book positions. If you switch, you have to make sure there's someone covering the space you leave.

He's done a lot for the flames but he's not anymore so Its acceptable .

You don't leave a guy unattended in front of the net when the opponents have possession in your zone regardless of position. Clearly there was a communication issue but I fault Backlund more, he should have made sure Wideman would be able to cover Chiasson before just leaving him.

wideman thought the flames where on their way out of the zone, he tried to jump into the rush of an odd man break but the flames turned it over...#### happens

That's extremely true. My brain tells me that the Flames are bad in comparison to teams in the west. But compared to the Sabers or the Rangers or the Flyers, I understand that there is no way the Flames draft in the first 10.

Geez...it's one goal on a simple mistake guys. Can we move on? It boiled down to poor communication and awareness...plus a chance to clear the zone and it stayed in. Let's not pin it on one player since this is a TEAM game.
