All the concepts posted were for a redo of the regular set, which this was never going to be.

Brutal! Google Tennesee's third jersey they wore today. Replace the orange with red and you can put whatever you want on the front and you'd still have the most kick ass jersey in the league.

The shoulder patch is pretty cool. I like how the primary mountain is actually an F so that Calgary Flames = CF in the patch. That is at least creative. Hate the black shoulder, primary logo, and the fact that the Flames still are keeping the boring black helmet/gloves/pants combo

Outside of too much black (and see what it looks like in person if the proportions are as they appear on the video game)...you're given that you have to put a word mark and a red jersey, how do you make it look half decent? Only thing I would have is "Calgary" in just yellow and white, but if using with current pants, jersey I guess would have to have some black, somewhere.

Secondary crest is interesting, and if they finish off the look with a new name and number font to refresh the overall look, it's not that bad as an alternate.

Can argue that the third shouldn't be a wordmark, but its been semi known on here for a week or so that it was going to exist, and the civic pride aspect will be played up for this.

Edit: Here's the icethetics link for the article 5 years ago...KK shelved it last minute. Is this it, exactly as it was 5 years later, or have changed been made? Tough to say but could well be that KK has dusted it off.

Unless it's fake, which it doesn't appear to be, then that's a screenshot from NHL '14. So barring anything majorly not translating well from the real life version to the version NHL 14 used (highly unlikely) then that's pretty much exactly what it will look like.

Okay, someone has to say it.

The way the lettering is hand written, it looks like "Cal Gay" on the front, especially at different side angles.

I am afraid the Flames players are going to get "beaked" a lot by opposing players because of this.

nothing wrong with being called Gay, just pointing out my observation.

I like some parts of this leaked jersey. I like the shoulder patch, the horizontal striping and that it is red.

I think that some people here are overreacting. This jersey, if this is accurate, is not great but not terrible. It wouldn't even be the worst jersey this team has ever worn in a game. That dubious honour goes to the white version of our pedestal set of 1995 to 2001.

Just a general feeling. I think it looks good. Clean and simple. I like the word mark. I know I'm in the minority on that, but it's only the third jersey and it's not going to be around forever.

As for the shoulders, the video game rendering seems to show the black come down on the front (and back) of the jersey, not just the top/shoulders, so it's tough to say if this is actually the case or if its just inaccuracies in the video game.

Keep going back to Minnesota's 3rd jersey at least as far as the word mark goes. Again, the use of black in the script font is not ideal (though it appears trimmed with yellow and white) but black had to go somewhere on the jersey, and just having it on the shoulders may look odd.

Grows on me a bit more I see it; though as I mentioned, if the Flames changed the name and number font, it may put it over the edge...if they've continued with the same name and number font they've used since the original horsehead 3rd, then that may sink it for me, as it reeks of laziness and not giving it a fresh total design as an alternate jersey by using an 16 year old design that needs a refresh.

removing the black shoulders, and having a large black flaming C without any word mark would look nice

2/10 WOULD NOT BUY

Gio's jersey will have three Cs all on the front and all in different fonts. That Buffalo jersey is better because at least it their logo isn't a B. And if you thought the Buffalo Buffaloes was bad, we're now the Calgary Cs. Kill it with fire. Preferably, retro fire.
