I just finished Bowie's Scary Monsters (never heard anything on it before). Its beautiful, slightly dark It's so different. Brilliant. Thanks for the recommend.

I love it. Objectively, it probably isn't his best music (it is a little same-y). But I really do love the feel, as you say.

My album of choice would have to be Bonobo's Black Sands. Phenomenal album from 1st song to last. That's the height of acid jazz, and it's still in rotation on my playlist.

The one album that always sticks out in my mind is the S/T Third Eye Blind. Pershing by Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin is a very close second.
