Nice to see Feaster active. Sure guys like Knight and Galiardi aren't top line players, but they're young, big and physical.

Decent speed, good size, hard nosed, defensively responsible.
Keep it going Jay. Lets cherry pick some top six talent now.

Good pickup. Bring in some more forwards like it and at least the team will be hard to play against for the first time in many years.

This is one of those deals we see other teams make and we all sit here stunned saying "That's all it took to acquire _____?!"
Nice to be on the other side for once. Fantastic trade and good signing.

Galliardi - Knight - Jones
I can see happening. We'll need to reduce current roster player list by 2 at least.
Imo Jackman should get shopped. He's been really good for us, but with all these young guys coming in that can fill energy/grit needs, it makes sens. Also one of Stajan/Backlund may become expendable with us stacking up on Cs, and the chance of Monahan making the team. Both played exceptional last season. My preference is to keep Backlund.

Which is why, despite liking Glencross, Cammalari and Giordano individually as players, would liked to see all three moved.
The dressing might have literally been destroyed by the floods but it's been a mess long before that.

I think it helps that he is from Calgary and really wanted to be traded here for an opportunity to showcase what he can be with increased ice-time. I agree though this is a steal!

Galiardi is fast too, i only wish it was a 2/3 year deal.

Has there ever been such a one sided response to a trade on CP?

Not me. If he plays well this year and we're out of the playoff hunt, I bet we could flip him for as high as a 2nd. And he's still an RFA.
Very smart move.

I would think McGrattan is going to be kept too, so he must factor in among the top 13 forwards. I think, with some bigger guys coming in, Jackman is out of a job, plus, of course, Cammalleri/Stajan/Stempniak will all be gone by the deadline, if not much sooner.

Decent pick up for a 4th, 1.25 at one year is a very friendly contract.

Awesome pick up, and a 4th round pick really isn't bad at all. Glad it wasn't a third.
Now lets ship out some of the other guys that are in the bottom 6. No need to hang on to them.

Class act guy, well spoken, plays a tough game and can log more minutes here than he could in SJ. Ill never forget watching him in the playoffs for the avs!

I hope not, I don't want him around next year. I really would like to see the youngsters given as much time on the ice as we can. McGrattan doesn't bring that much more if anything at all that one of the younger guys can bring.

EDIT: SJS close up to the cap after they sign Kennedy and a back-up goalie. Taking advantage of cap space.

Slow down Feaster, if you keep this up i'm going to be eating "crow" for a year.
Just kidding, keep on going. I will gladly have me a plate of crow.

Good pick up, but wasn't he supposed to be a UFA this year?
