Those are definitely not available anymore! I would have grabbed those if they were an option, I ended up with Row 2.

I also agree with you on everything else you mentioned in the PL section...some games were pretty frustrating to deal with the crowd, I've had beer spilled on me quite a few times, it'll be nice to not have to worry about that as much.

WOOHOO!

My buddy and I got season tickets in section 222. I'm so psyched to be a season ticket holder.

Yeah I was offered Sec 208, Row 24. Probably going to decline for this year though :-(

Full capacity is 19,289. 3% of that is about 580. Divide that into pairs, and you end up with 290 people from the list being offered tickets this year.

Which is why we see people in the 200s from the list being offered. Seems to line up exactly with the Flames' numbers.

My congrats as well. If you are on the list, and were not offered tickets today, you still have a shot. In previous years, as people declined or deferred , they flames continued down the list with ticket offers. It was a few days before the season started when they phoned me with an offer.

Maybe, but we're close to #290 being offered with just the second level, that doesn't include how many have been offered for the lower level and third level (each have a different hot house wait list)

Over the last 4 years I have never seen the seats available that have been given as options this year, every time I called there were decent blacks, greens and whites.

In the past you would have to wait hours for a single pair of greens or blacks to pop up, now they would give you many options for each...

I agree. I couldn't believe how many pairs of blacks they had available. In the past you would only see 1 or 2 pairs available.

Options were plenty this year. Definitely not buying that 97 per cent figure.

Plus the fact that not all 19,000 plus seats are held by season ticket holders. They were always offering games packs throughout the season. Also, I never had a problem going on Ticketmaster to pick up extra seats last year -- tons of seats to choose from. The seats allocated to season tickets is probably closer to 15,000. That being said, maybe they're upping the number of seats being allocated for season tickets for this upcoming season? Having a captive season ticket base rather than trying to sell a Wednesday night game against the Wild?

Congrats to those who got offered tickets. Although the next couple years will be rough, I'm pumped to see the future of the flames develop.

I moved my tickets from section 220 R 18 to section 219 R19 (aisle seats). Was hoping to turn my set of three into 2 pairs, but no success.

As others have pointed out, with even a few hundred available seats, once everyone starts moving it "looks" like a lot more is available simply because at any given time, there will always be a few hundred available. But they're just being rotated amongst the same people. I pick new seats, and suddenly mine are available to the next guy.

I can only really speak for what I managed to see personally. Out of the 4 green sections that I asked about (202, 208, 216, 222) there was exactly one pair of seats available. And out of the PL rows 1-3, I roughly estimate just over 800 seats total. We saw what appeared to be about a dozen pairs available, or 24. Our agent did a large search over the entire area of interest, and let's just say she didn't seem bright enough to think that she needed to hide her search results from me, lest I report that the Flames have lost so many STH. 24/800 = exactly 3%. And these are some of the more coveted seats (at least in terms of the cheap seats).

Not sure where you guys are seeing much higher. They were certainly not offering 10% of the building up. Not even remotely close. Listening to the guys at the other ticket windows in white, red, etc, they seemed to have one, two, max 3 pairs of tickets per section and colour choice combo. And some of these guys spent quite a while going through all possible options throughout the Dome. I heard the same seats being offered to 2 different people within a matter of minutes.

I think the 99% renewal rates in the past have masked just how few seats were ever available to move to. Now that a whopping 5, 6, 7 hundred are available, it *seems* like there's just oh so many being given up. But it's still damn close to the published numbers. 600 available seats out of even 15,000, because yeah the Dome isn't entirely STH, is still only 4% - so a 96% renewal rate. So they fibbed by a percent or two at worst.

There certainly have been more individual tickets available, pretty much every year since 2006. Beyond the steady STH crowd (which the Flames increased when they opened up some more of the Black seats to STH back in 2010), fan demand just seems a lot less every season. But there's still a waiting list for seasons, and in most cases people are on it for a few years. So it's not like they're desperate (yet). I'd actually be curious to ask the folks on this forum - when did you get on the STH list, which section, and how long were/have you been on? I got on in 2010 and it took precisely a month before being offered my first tickets - I had fantastic timing with the newly opened Black sections in 2010.

I was there in the morning on the first day using a buddy's letter to see what was available (mine was the next morning) and it looked very sparse (1 and 2nd bowl, I didn't go up to the PL). I thought there would be a pretty good selection given the number of cancelled tickets, but it didn't even look like 300 seats. The only ones I was interested in moving to were gone the next day.

Sorry, I've been on vacation and didn't see your question earlier. I only asked about sets of four in the upper bowl. They offered golds in 201 & 220. There were no silvers and a few Red 1s.

I did call back a few times to see if anything better would come up. By the time I called back in the last few hours the sales rep could not believe that I was even considering giving up my new seats.
