So how long until we hear the Oilers being praised for being "geniuses" again, and for having such a "great plan" and how they are "building a team the right way"
Before or after they get their 4th consecutive 1st overall pick??
Oilers are a horrible, horrible team, and are one of the worst teams in the history of pro sports.

I have totally changed my mind about bring MacDonald back. We need a solid goaltender if Ramo/Berra don't cut it. 1 year deal at 1-2 million.

Boys playing with pride, making the rebuild not as bitter. Here I was thinking I'd have checked out on the Flames for the year but there's still some excitement to be had. Tuning in to CHED to hear the Oilers "Faithful" grumble about their team now.

did you see that Oilers team? he didn't need to be, they were completely defeated. and personally i'll take a big bottom 6 forward that can drive the puck to the net and cause havok on the forecheck over a #### disturber

couldn't agree more... just does not strike me as a "team" guy whatsoever. A drain on the locker room I am sure.

We can kiss the top pick goodbye. The Oilers shifted into something special mode.

I like how the flames purposely lost last week to give the oilers hope and lower their draft position, then tonight they were like "haha, you fell for it! Our ahl team is still better than you!" and crushed their hopes.

Absolutly pathetic. I know the Flames aren't the model franchise either but you can at least honor them for not wanting to go out as losers. Look up losers in the dictionary and you see the Oilers logo right next to it. The Flames are going to be out of the playoffs for a few years but if we continue to put in this effort through those years while adding young pieces to the roster i will be very happy. Yeah losing out on Jones, Mackinnon and Drouin would suck but the draft doesn't end after the first three picks. But for the Oilers it ends after one.

Throw in Kulak who's been awesome in Abby along with a 22-year-old Cundari who I'm confident will be a hell of a blueliner for the Flames. Throw in Gaudreau, Wotherspoon and THREE first round picks this year. If everyone keeps playing like this, our rebuild will be expedited exponentially faster than the Coilers' rebuild.

I've been sketching out the development camp roster tonight and it looks GOOD.

What season are they going into of "Oilchange?" at this rate they may need to renew a few more seasons.

Yep, forgot about him. I think he'll be a Flame next season. The reality is, I could be bat sh*t out of my mind, but I'm seeing this young group of players and how they've been playing and I think we'll be okay during this painstaking rebuild.

I'm hoping we buy out Tanguay. At least these lesser skilled Heat guys actually try.

my first thought after the 8-2 game was that it would give the Oilers team false confidence and they'd take a bit of a dive right after. course by "bit of a dive" even i didn't think they'd start racing for the bottom so hard

who are you, his agent? whether he signs here or elsewhere, $650K is plenty reasonable for a career backup

It's so easy to trick Oiler fans and their media (and owner). I hope the Oilers finish the season on a marvelous winning streak and suck all of them back in again.
Remember the bravado of two weeks ago? Hilarious.
