I got no love for the Caps, but I think it's pretty funny that they are suddenly in the playoffs after the season they've had so far, and despite being 19th in the league.

I also think its funny that the Jets have lost five in a row, and as a result we haven't hardly seen hide nor hair of Jets4life around here lately.

Just three posts since the Jets last win. What a real forum contributor that DB is.

The SE is a joke and always has been. No surprise that the pathetic Jets are out of the play-offs.

Not surprising that the the Coilers get whopped by a team that isn't stripping down to bare bones.

They are still an awful team.

Wow, 4 SHUTOUTS on the OOT! Bernier in net for the Kings as they beat the Wild 3-0. Backstrom was pulled after letting in 2 goals on 2 shots. The Canucks get revenge on the Oilers and reverse the charm from last Saturday, 4-0 with Schneider in goal. Ben Bishop was awesome in net for Tampa as he stopped all 45 shots in the Lightning's 5-0 win. Dan Ellis was in net for Carolina. Tukka Rask beats Broudeur in the goalie duel as the Bruins win 1-0 in reg time. Phoenix stays in the playoff race with a 4-2 win over Detroit. The Red Wings are only 2 points up on 9th and 10th place.

Well they whopped the Canucks just as good on Saturday. They're not an awful team anymore, not even a bad team, but the difference between 8th and 10th in the standings for them is probably four or five playoff games.

well the Oilers have one ROW on the Flames in this disaster of a season where the team has quit playing for two weeks

they are who we thought they were

Well if you remember back like 5 years...Chicago got sort of hot towards the end of the season and went from being the team who took Kane with the first pick to a team that finished 10th in the Conference with 88 points. That summer they were able to lure a couple of free agents, than went on to become a playoff fixture.

I think people are really jaded around here because the Flames finished 9th 3 years in a row. Finishing 9th isn't a bad thing...Finishing there numerous years in a row with the same group of players getting older is.

The Flames haven't finished 9th 3 years in a row. Pretty close though, not that it matters.
