I honestly believe that Miikka Kiprusoff is the Flames best player of all time, and our current franchise player. Not Jarome Iginla. No other team in the NHL's history has ridden a goalie quite like we've rode Kipper, and without him, this team would be a total disaster. Like it is right now. To say that Jarome Iginla has done anything more than Kipper is insanity.

What does this have to do with this thread?

The Flames record is actually better without Kipper this year. We're not even a bottom 5 team right now.

That's a pretty silly question, seeing as how the core of this team that the majority of people want to trade is comprised of Jarome Iginla, and Miikka Kiprusoff. And seeing as how those are the two players that will have the most value in a trade, they are likely, if not, good, candidates to be traded. People seem to think that we owe Iginla some kind of service, some kind of, invisible NTC because he's the long-time captain of the organization. But nobody says this about Kiprusoff, who, has been, without a doubt, one of the best, if not the best, goaltender since the lockout in the entire NHL. My point is that nobody owes anything to anyone, and if anyone deserves a spot on this roster if they actually want one, its Kipper, not Iggy.

And are you actually implying that Kipper would have made us worse? No. Kiprusoff was injured in January, correct? When we were playing like rubbish? Now we've picked up our play, and have 2.8 goals a game to show for it. Having Kipper back will do levels for this organization.

I honestly think the next move is going to be the biggest of the season. I don't know if it's going to be the firing of Feaster or trading one of our top guys or trading for a top guy but the next move might be the biggest.

If Feaster isn't fired, he has to do something to get the heat off of him. If the move is Feaster being fired, whoever the new GM is, is going to come in change the teams direction.

Umm, no. Outside of Calgary, nobody rates Baertschi higher as a prospect than Voracek (drafted 7th overall) and Schenn (5th overall) were.

This closes that arguement, right as Schenn and Vorcek are the much better players.

Completely agree. I don't think he'll be fired in the short term and I think he's going to put together a major offer (think Sven or Gaudreau, 1st in the package) for a big gun.

As much as the O'Reilly offer was about getting a good young player for the future, it also highlights that the three headed monster (Feaster/King/Edwards) is still blindly trying to win now and is probably not looking at dealing our vets.

I'm expecting a tremendously controversial dead from the Flames before the deadline.

No way he moves Sven. He is not trading that package unless and unrealistic player like Tavares is coming back

The first and Johnny might be on the table but only for a proven player under 25 IMO. I still look at Bouw or Gio being moved

I worry Jay is working on a Lecavalier deal. He loves his old Tampa players and is clearly in win-now mode (or more accurately, strive for 9th mode).

Bouw likely has more value though so it depends bathe team can support a Gio loss more than Bouw though. I think he looks to trade a dman and a LW not named Sven. Maybe Glencross if he us trying to maximize value? Then again I can't see Glennie being moved

I'm pretty sure we'd be close to if not in a playoff spot if Joker was resigned.

The big fear here is that GM's are like sharks, and they all smell blood, and that blood is coming from Feaster. They all know he is desperate and they are going to rape him in any deal.

Whatever move is coming, it's not going to be favourable for the Flames.

When will this nightmare end?

The same Jokinen with 7 points in 20 games?

Good one.
