What I don't understand is this: Edwards has huge corporations to run that require his full attention. If I was a shareholder in those companies I would be upset that he's wasting his energy on a hockey team.
Running a hockey team does not require that level of intellectual horsepower.

Mike Rogers is the best Flames analyst in the city, by far.

Such a weird season. Just realized after 3 more home games the Flames are half done all their home games for this season... o_O

Hartleys system is a lot of fun to watch. And when everyone commits to playing that style of hockey they can even win. The problem is that it requires a lot of hard work and it doesn't seem as though this team is ready to make that commitment.
As I recall Calgary faced the same problem with Sutter.
So basically we need to find a coach that has a system for lazy players that want to mail in their performance and we should be just fine.

I don't think Roman Cervenka is an NHL quality player. I'm trying to stay optimistic about him but it looks to me like he messes up more plays than he contributes to. He doesn't have any physical game either.

Really no chance tonight, the Kings were far and away better at every aspect of the game.
Decent effort from Macdonald.
Another -2 for Butler to add to his collection.

Nope but it does require you to actually know something about hockey and if you don't, to put someone in charge who does. What is KK's background again? It ain't hockey, its basically sales. Think about that. Don't get me wrong, Edwards owns it and he can do what he wants. And as long as we keep buying it, he will.

Do you have evidence edwards is running this team day to day?

Ken King runs the business, Jay Feaster makes the hockey decisions.
People need to realize that this "rebuild" is going to take awhile. Sutter crippled this franchise when he was GM.

Maybe it's time to dig up those old threads about Calgary's identity.
In the post game interviews Drew Doughty was talking about the Los Angeles Kings identity. They want to be the hardest working team in the league. And they want people to know that they are not going to get anything for free playing against the Kings.
That sounds familiar to me.

I'd hate to be a seasons ticket holder this year. Gonna be hard selling tickets you can't use for any upcoming games.
