First back-to-back for the Flames since games 1 and 2 -- not a good sign if they're going to come out and crap the bed like this.

Expect their next game to be MUCH better.

Little perspective, we were playing essentially our 4th string goalie, on the 2nd of back to back, without our best centerman, rookie, and #1 goalie. We are hovering around .500 and were predicted to finish anywhere from 8-10th by virtually everyone. If we can continue to tread water as we currently are, and start to string some winning streaks together once healthy, we could sneak into the playoffs. If we don't, we'll end up pretty much where predicted anyways, and we can probably look forward to some trades, the draft lottery/draft and the potential of Ramage, Gaudreau, Granlund etc. joining the team.
I'm just sick of "We're great, we suck" very 2nd night.

The last four seasons have given Flames fans the right to be fickle. We all want the team to win so most fans will rally when there is something to rally around. But the fan base lacks trust and patience. For good reason. And as such will jump on the Flames when they play the way they did to day.
We are fickle. But NOBODY owes an apology for being that way.

Do you know how emotionally draining it is to battle when your team expects you to sand on your head and make great saves while they don't do anything to help. Do you know how much better it is if the team can even get ahead one goal. You people are blaming the wrong players. We're not scoring goals. Last year everyone wanted more offence so now we have it but we forgot how to play defence. This is going to be a long short season.

Well by the sounds of it I didn't miss anything. Just watched the highlights, Taylor didn't look too bad minus the two softies. I hope they give him another crack at it against LA.

Enough with the goaltending shtuff. Taylor was meh at best. But he gave the team a chance to win in the first two and they failed to take advantage.
The reality is starts might be limited for him going forward. So the chances of the Cinderella story many were hoping for is pretty unlikely.

People may hate Doan, but that type of leader is exactly what the country club flames need. A real stern, hard nose pryck who will call out anyone and not worry about someone getting mad at him. No offence to Iggy, but his one ice leadership doesn't cut it here anymore and that's the biggest need. No one is held accountable. It's all just accepted. We also need that on the back end. I can't stand watching other teams whacking away and everyone just skates away. Sarich should be in every night until they find more like that.

Man I'm tired of watching this team, and it's big fat payroll, get run over by teams that have 2 to 3 times the cap space we do.
I'm as patient as the next guy, but if they fumble f*** their way to the deadline again, I sure hope management trims as much fat off this roster as possible.

Remember when we used to rag on Darryl for bringing in veteran 'leaders'. Maybe he did know something we didn't...

Had an otherwise solid game from all accounts. Certainly better than Irving. We can't just keep playing musical chairs with goalies. Our problems as a team run far deeper than goaltenders.

Pretty tough to care about the team and players when it is clear the players don't care enough to bring it consistently and ownership / management doesn't care enough to hold the team accountable.
This type of player makes me want to boycott the team more then the lockout ever did.

So who should start then, and can he score a couple of goals too?

Hey whatever happened to the "problem in the room has been identified and will be dealt with" thing? It was Jokinen, no wait it was Phaneuf, on no it was Reggie.

MacDonald. Tough to go with Taylor. Of the two MacDonald deserves the start more and gives us the best chance to win.
I don't care much for the available options. But Taylor didn't play very well tonight. The fact the team also failed doesn't change that.

Komisarek sits in the Leafs press box awaiting a deal, could be what the doctor ordered.
